The Shifter In The Avengers (Bucky Barnes)

Battle 3: Sacramento, California

We have decided to go to California for our next base invasion. This base only has two levels, a basement and a main level. The basement holds the cells on one side and the experimentation rooms on the other. There are only 10 cells and 5 rooms in the basement. The main level looks like an abandoned house. This H.Y.D.R.A base is right on the outskirts of town as to not attract to much attention. The small amount of visitors that the building does get normally turn into the experimented and torchered.

Our plan was for banner to stay with the team of doctors that we have on standby for the injured while Tony and Thor keeping an eye out from the sky just incase there is an opening that we didn't know about and someone tries to escape. Natasha and Clint will stand guard at the front and back doors watching to see if there was anyone to try and escape that way. James, Steve and I are going to go in and take care of whoever we can and save any survivors left.

I shifted for this battle remembering the tiny places a small body could slip threw and knew if I was a wolf I could get threw it faster. We went in and the guys started rounding up the H.Y.D.R.A agents and taking care of the ones who fired back. I went to the basement and took care of the two guards and 3 "doctors" them started unlocking the doors with a claw. After opening all the doors I find that there was only 3 survivors in all. One was a small child no older then 5 years hiding in a Crack so I shifted back

"you two can go upstairs there are others here to help. Tell the closest one you find to come help me with the child" I told them then shifted back to my wolf seeing her relax more when I'm a giant puppy in her eyes.

Laying down she slowly comes out and I see she is only wearing a small dress like shirt. She was shivering and curled into my fur while I curled further around her hoping to warm her up at least a little bit. James come down to the cell we were in and looks at us

"what would you like me to do?" He asks

"see if she will let you place her on my back and fallow beside me so she doesn't fall" I suggest threw a collar Tony has built for when I'm a wolf so that I can talk with the team.

James slowly approached the small girl who looked at him in fear but nodded slightly letting us know she has heard our conversation and is OK with him. He gently lifts her up onto my back. James takes off his jacket and wraps it around the tiny Frame of the child then let's me know she is secured and safe. I slowly stand up and start walking out with James walking beside me, the little girl lays down on my back.

"Who is that" Steve asked

"The last survivor other then the two adults" James said for me.

Steve got to my other side and walked with us out to the helicopters.

"Bruce we have another survivor" Steve called out and the doctor ran over and looked at the 5 year old on my back. As he tried to grabe her to place her in the medical copter she screamed and I backed away.

"I'll take her Bruce and care for her. Bring a first aid kit and I'll check on everyone as well" I said walking to the avengers plain.

- Becky's P.O.V-

Steve and I followed Irelyn into our copter then sat down, not long Bruce came in with a first aid kit that's bigger then the one we already have.

"Off pup so I can check you" Irelyn said gently and laid down. The child slid off and sat down right where she landed. Irelyn shifted to her human self with a tiny smile and opened the kit. She checked over the child and found old wounds that went from years old to just a week old.

"How could they do this to a child" She whispered to herself but I could hear due to my superhuman hearing. Soon the child went to sleep feeling safe and exhausted.

Irelyn looked over the rest of us not finding any injuries except a split lip on Steve and a black eye on me. She went back to the young girl, shifted then curled around her falling asleep herself.

Natasha took a photo before waking them stating that we were at S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters. The child we all agreed to call miracle for the time being got back onto Irelyn's back sitting up this time.
