The Shifter In The Avengers (Bucky Barnes)

Miracle's true place

Miracle was quick to recover, her injuries healing within a week thanks to the doctors medical training. She started eating more and regained her strength which helped with her recovery. It took a month for her to regain half of her weight thanks to the food and everything.

Irelyn grew very fond of Miracle, treating the child as if she was her own. Taking Miracle to her appointments she had, making sure she ate healthy and good food so she could become strong again, even sleeping next to the child when she had nightmares or just needed someone.

On a Monday Irelyn was working with the girl on schooling that she had set up for Miracle. Fury walked into the room that was given to the girls for studying

"Irelyn we need to speak" he said his deep voice booming. The said woman stood up and walked over to him giving Miracle's head a pat.

"What's wrong?" Irelyn asked

"Nothing but we have found Miracles parents. Her real name is Sophia Martinez. Her parents will be here at noon." Fury told her and Irelyn nodded her head. After talking for a tiny bit longer she went to Miracle or Sophia and told her everything.

Sophia was happy she would be going home and that they had found her parents but she was also sad that she would have to leave her new friends and family.

Irelyn and Sophia went to the girls room and packed everything that she had which included photos of her and the Avengers, new clothing and shoes that Tony paid for, and her bathroom necessities. They then plaid some games before noon came along.

At noon the two met up with the other Avengers and Bucky had lifted the girl up on his shoulders making Sophia scream and giggle in delight. The team could help but to see a small and happy family when they looked at the three Infront of them but knew it wouldn't happen.

James placed Sophia down when they entered Fury's office and found a man and woman who looked just like Sophia. The woman cried and ran to the girl wrapping her arms around her while the man also having tears fall from his eyes looked at the team

"Thank you for saving our daughter and bringing her back home." He said his voice deep with emotion

"it was nothing sir." Steve said. The woman them hugged everyone in the room causing some of them being a bit uncomfortable but also understood why she did so. Everyone said their goodbyes and the young family left.
