The Shifter In The Avengers (Bucky Barnes)

Battle 4: Seattle, Washington

The team decided to go after a large H.Y.D.R.A compound in Washington. This one was three stories. The lowest held any cryo chambers they had as well as their memory wipe machines and anything else they had. Second and main story just looked like a large house with a kitchen and a couple bedrooms and bathrooms. The third and last level had the cells. There were twenty cells  full with people (at least ten in each) many on the brink of death. This compound was on the very outskirts of the city hidden by trees on all sides and guarded extra well compared to the others.

The team decided to use the trees as an advantage. Under the cover of night everyone snuck up on the compound but the dogs smelled and heard them so they started going wild and the guards stiffened and was more aware.

Shooting and yelling was everywhere. Bullets were hitting bark or flesh, yells of pain could be heard all over, screaming of orders and other forms of communication was also heard.

Smells of metallic sulphur could be detected in the sent of human musk, trees and the other animals around.

The feeling of the ground under Irelyn's paws or the wind in her fur, bullets skimming her coat. Flesh under her teeth was all she could feel.

Irelyn Could only taste the metallic/copper taste of blood, the salty flesh she bites into or the taste of gunsmoke from the air.

Irelyn fights a path to the "house" first and busts in holding a arm in her mouth eyeing a man in a white coat but also sees a woman holding a gun, her hands shaking, sweat could be seen falling down her face. The smell of fear and unknown feelings coming from her. Irelyn barks aggressively to the woman dropping the arm, the woman dropped the gun and fell down crying and the man tries to run away but Irelyn jumps onto his back tearing his head off and going after anyone else who showed up but left the woman.

Going downstairs the sent of fear, Cleaning supplies, and blood could be detected but so could muffled screams the not long but stopped causing Irelyn to rush to the door and busts threw it only to see three men/women in white coats, a handful of guards who quickly  pushes their guns in her path causing her to growl.

The noise from outside falls almost silent and about 2 minutes of standing there eye challenging each other three people runs in who is Tony, Natasha and Steve. Each one stops as they couldn't pass the wolf as she took up most of the doorway. Irelyn soon jumps and scratches a guard very well in the face. He drops and another shoots and her but misses causing the others to to jump into action once again.

A yelp could be heard echoing threw the room after Nat nocked out the last guard. Everyone looks over and sees Irelyn being held up by her throat and a large blade pushed between two of her ribs. Throwing her down still with the knife Irelyn could only yelp again and pass out seeing as she had already been injured but this one was worse and blood was flowing out.

Nat runs to the girl and checks over Irelyn while tony kills the rest of the people in the room ( the prisoner already dead, blood flowing from their eyes and ears) and Steve looks around to find anything to held out pressure onto the knife puncher. Steve runs over to a cabinet opening it to see torture utensils the goes to the next one finding towels. Grabbing a arm load he runs back over helping Nat place them over the wound and holding tightly.

The rest of the team runs in after getting confirmation on the fours location from Tony. Bucky runs over to Irelyn's head as she shifts back and flops down taking her head into his lap making her more comfortable. Everyone was in shock as the wolf is normally the one with fewer damage from these missions but seeing her laying there being surrounded by her blood made everyone a mixture of fear for her well-being and anger that they couldn't stop it expecally Tony, Nat, Steve and James.

The team got her to the tower and into the medical wing, Dr. Cho had already met them there getting a call from Clint on the details. Cho needed to suture up the blade wound but told the team that Irelyn lost a lot of blood and needed a blood transfusion. Bruce showed her to the location that he had the blood bags for emergencies like this. After putting in the IV and making sure Irelyn was in good shape now Dr. Cho left the room and into the next with the team.

Irelyn lost lots of blood, had a deep gash that almost hit her liver, some other minor cuts and bruises, but what worried cho the most is that Irelyn's superior healing wasn't kicking in yet. Other then that she said that Irelyn should wake up withing a day or 2 and to let her know if anything worsens and left knowing the female was in good hands expecally with Bruce.

Everyone walked into the medical room and looks at their friend laying there hooked up the machines and a blood drip. Each member soon went their own way not wanting to be in the room seeing Irelyn look the way she did so pail vs her almost caramel skin tone and looking so beat. James staid tho, sitting by the bed taking her hand in his and just staid there looking either at her or the bed between them not moving.

The next day came and he was still there not moving, Steve and Nat came in to let him know food was there and that he should go eat but he didn't acknowledge their words. Bruce came in many times to check on Irelyn and told James he should go eat, get something to drink and get some sleep but again James didn't give acknowledgement to the words said to him.

The third day came and James had fallen asleep his hands holding onto Irelyn's an d his head laid on the bed. Irelyn slowly starts waking up first hearing the machines beeping besides her, feeling warm but even warmer on her right hand but also a lot of pain. She slowly opened her eyes but still  winced at the lights hitting her extremely sensitive eyes.

Finally able to open her eyes fully she looked to her right side and sees James, she rubs his hair not having any care. Slowly James opens his eyes and lifts up his head to see Irelyn awake. He smiled and she smiled back.

"Good to see you awake" James said

"Yeah, what happened" Irelyn asks

"No one really knows what happened but they do know that they heard a yelp, looked over and saw you being held up by your throat with a knife threw your ribs. The guy took it out and tried to run but Tony got him. At least this is what Natasha and Steve said while tony out his two sense in here and there." James said with a small chuckle at the end

"Danm. How long was I out" Irelyn asked

"Two and a half days. Dr. Cho stitched you up so your wolf healing had some help, it's been taking a bit longer and Bruce found out the knife had Nightshade (wolfsbane) on it so that slowed down your healing."

Irelyn nodded her head taking I'm all the words James said

"Um Irelyn? The last 3 days I've been wanting to tell you something." James said looking at Irelyn. Not know J.A.R.V.I.S had told the team what was going on and turned on the speaker so everyone could hear.

"What's that James" Irelyn asks tilting her head to the side in a cute manor.
