When Light came home that night, he was surprised to find his mother and father looming over him with disapproving faces. They didn't say a word, but when Light looked at Sayu's mischievous grin, he deduced that she was telling stories.

The next day, Light got up early and went to school before virtually anyone was there. He immediately noticed the wall Lisa's friends had painted. It was simply graffiti.

He found the notebook and took off. His long legs carried him at an inhumane speed. He would grab it before Lisa would stop him, he was sure of it!

But then, what's this?! Light suddenly stopped gliding on the concrete and crashed into someone, sending the two tumbling over each other.

"Light-kun?" "Lisa-chan?" They said at the same time.

Light let Lisa talk first. She stood up and straightened out her skirt. Light did the same, minus the skirt part. "I was surprised to find that notebook still there, so I was gonna pick it up,"

Light extended his arm toward it. "You can do the honors."

The two walked back to the strange notebook, and Lisa picked it up.

Suddenly, she dropped the notebook and started screaming. She stumbled backward, clinging onto Light's arm.

"What's wrong?" He grabbed her shoulders and shook her.

She took deep breaths. She moved Light out of the way and slowly lifted her finger and pointed at nothing. "Do you . . . n-not see it?"

Light looked back. There was a fly, but he doubted that was what Lisa was screaming about. He looked back down at the notebook. He cautiously took a step forward and picked it up himself.

Finally, he could see what Lisa was seeing. A hideous monstrosity, and though floating a few inches off the ground, was several feet taller than Light. It wore a huge, devilish grin and two yellow, unblinking eyes.

Light quickly moved back.

The thing was speaking. "Finally!" It cried in it's raspy voice. "Took you stupid humans long enough to find me!" It flung it's long, lanky arms up in the air. "Humans are so boring! Burn that notebook and set me free of this unforgiving freakshow!"

Lisa and Light looked at each other. They didn't speak for a while until Light said in a small voice, "Let's blame it on that pizza we ate yesterday,"

"Yes, let's."
