Light watched as Lisa aimlessly tossed several small basketballs toward a hoop. She missed them all. She groaned and stomped her foot.

"You don't have that great of an aim, do you?" Light asked. He had taken off his beanie and tied his jacket around his waist. He hoped that would make him look less suspicious. But Lisa insisted that Light keep the beanie on his head, saying it made him look 'hot'.

She glared at him. "I'd like to see you try, Mr. 'I-can't-be-bothered-with-un-smart-peons-like-you."

He made every shot.

"Beginners luck," She rolled her eyes.

After a few more arcade games, Lisa wanted to order pizza. Light was against it. He wasn't fond of oily arcade pizza. Unfortunately, Lisa insisted that it was her treat, so he couldn't back out of it now.

A few minutes later, two slices of sweaty pizza were served to them. The two classmates sat across from each other on cheap chairs where the cushion's stuffing was spilling out of it. Light mentally gagged at the open ketchup packet on the table. How could anyone consider this place romantic?

Lisa inhaled a gasp of awe. "This looks so good!" She clasped her hands together. Light tried to share the same enthusiasm and smile, but the smile looked like what a joke fallen short would.

She eagerly grabbed the triangular slice of fat and gobbled it down.

He tentatively stared at his piece. He lifted up his plate, which was actually a chore since the oil seeped through the paper plate and onto the table, effectively making it sticky. But he dropped it when Lisa shouted his name again.

"LIGHT-KUN?!" She cried. He looked up at her, but Lisa's face was just as confused. If she didn't say that, who did?

Suddenly, a frilly gothic skirt and a whiff of perfume landed beside him and Misa gave him a toothy grin lined with lipstick.

"I thought you said you'd never go on a date!" She squealed.

Lisa stared at the energetic blonde, mouth agape. Light was worried Lisa would get angry at Misa and accuse the latter of interrupting them. Instead, and to Light's relief, Lisa exploded not with curses and threats, but with exclamations of praise.

"MisaMisaaaaa?!" Lisa cried. "Are you Misa Amane?"

Misa spun around and brought a pink-nailed finger to her cheek. She gave a pose. "In the flesh!"

"Light-kun! You didn't tell me you knew MisaMisa!" Lisa was now standing.

I don't . . .was what he wanted to mutter.

"Well, Light-kun," Misa tapped his shoulder. "Won't you introduce me to your date?"

"We're not dating," Light frowned.

"I-I'm Lisa Yabunashi," She stuttered. "Flattered to meet you."
It was Misa's turn to wear the expression of surprise. "Your name is Lisa? It sounds like my name, Misa!"

Lisa giggled. "Yeah, it kinda does, Misa!"

Misa grabbed Lisa's hand. "Then I'll be MisaMisa, and you'll be LisaLisa!"

Lisa let out an excited squeal. "MisaMisa just gave me a nickname!" She said to Light. Then she turned and faced the arcade. "Didja hear?! I'm now legally changing my name to LisaLisa!"

As he listened to the crescendo of feminine shrieks and giggles, Light held his head in his hands and he felt a pressing migraine coming on.
