Izuku did not sleep well, so when a very enthusiastic, loud blond came knocking, he couldn't help the small groan he let out.

Opening the door, he watched as the man's face turned from excited to concerned. "You alright little listener?"

" 'm fine." He responded, rubbing his eyes as he invited the other in.

Hizashi hummed, "Rough night?"

He gave a small nod in reply.

A small smile spread on the man's face, "Then I guess I made the right choice." He said as he held up a box of doughnuts and some coffee.

......

Hizashi bit his lip to keep in the snort when Izuku's eyes lit up at the sight of coffee. He practically waddled towards it with little grabby hands as he took it from him.

He couldn't, however, keep in his chuckle when the listener buried himself in blankets while he sipped on his drink like a gremlin.

He walked over, setting the doughnuts down on the side table and settling in on the opposite side of Izuku on the bed.

They let the silence be for a bit. It was calming, quite, and peaceful, and it seems neither of them wanted to interrupt that.

"So, I didn't really make any plans for today, thought I'd go with the flow. Anything you want to do?" Hizashi said, his voice surprising calm and quiet, as to not break the peaceful nature of the room.

Izuku hummed, "I don't really care where we go or what we do."

Hizashi thought for a moment, "How do you feel about walking around the town. Might help to take your mind off things and we can do whatever looks interesting."

Izuku shrugged, "sure."

So just like that, they had plans. Given, it took a while for Izuku to wake up the rest of the way; although Hizashi didn't seem to mind. Something about Aizawa and being used to it?

When they did go out, however, it only took about 30 minutes before Hizashi's eyes lit up like stars in the night sky.

Apparently, there was a music competition taking place today, and despite how much he tried to hide it, the man was ecstatic.

So, like the observant little brat he is, he began making his way over to the place he briefly read that it was being held.

Hizashi tried to talk him out of it, say that he really didn't have to if he didn't want to, but Izuku meant what he said, he really didn't mind, so music competition it is.

As they got closer, they started seeing more and more people, the event seeming to attract quite the crowd.

Maybe about 30 feet from the stage he had to stop. Now, he didn't mind being short, but it pretty much sucked at moments like these, where he can now no longer see through the dense crowd of people.

Hizashi, however, seemed to realize his dilemma, grabbing his hand and pulling Izuku along with him further through the crowd.

Izuku's heart faltered for a second. He followed, of course, not like he had much of a choice, but he hasn't had someone touch him kindly in a while.

Sure, he held Fatgum's hand, but that was also back when he didn't have much of a choice. And he reached out to him on his own free will.

Hizashi's hand didn't feel wrong or anything.....he just.....doesn't think there's a time where he's ever been grabbed and he hasn't gotten hurt.
