Different, but a good kind?

Hizashi wasn't in a very good mood anymore. This lady just outright called a child an insult and then proceeded to tell them to stay away from him. Just who did she think she was.

"I'm sorry?" He said, hoping, almost praying, that he had misheard. Because if that's how the head treated him, how did the others?

"Honestly, I don't know why you're so interested. He's just some quirkless little brat."

And oh, oh, that explained so much. He wasn't stupid, he knows how the quirkless were treated.

He's husband's gaze was downright murderous. The others weren't much better, although all might seemed to have a look of understanding on his face. They were going to need to have a talk.

"We're done here, thank you. We will continue our search on our own." Fatgum spat, although honestly it was more polite than he would have been.

Aizawa, Takami, Sir Nighteye, and Mirko were already walking away with himself and Fatgum hot on their heels. The other two following behind a bit slower.

However, when they turned around the kid was nowhere in sight. They opted to continue to look around as a group, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, but he wasn't in the room.

He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see his husband, "yeah sho?" He nodded his head toward the direction of a door that seemed to have led to a backyard of some sort.

"Just saw a few kids run through there." Shota stated.

"Hey guys," He spoke up, "there's an outside too."

The others, seeming to get the memo, turned and began walking out. The outside was beautiful, but it was a small town. They didn't have large buildings or crazy traffic, meaning there was less pollution here. It's not surprising that nature was able to grow so much more because of it, but it was so wild and well maintained at the same time that it was hard not to stare in wonder.

"Found him." Sir Nighteye stated calmly. And oh, wow.

He hasn't even properly met the kid yet and he could already see he was something else

He hasn't even properly met the kid yet and he could already see he was something else. The air about him was pure, and the kids who kept close and played around him seemed to love it.

Hizashi blinked out of his haze to see his husband already walking over with Takami and was quick to follow with the others.

...

Izuku wasn't a major fan of being inside, it felt stuffy and too dark for his liking. When he had come outside, he went to his usual spot under a little cove of sorts made of flowers. He worked hard to keep this place maintained, though he normally worked on it at night, when he would be left alone, and he didn't have to worry about the little kids wanting to play with the gardening supplies.

He didn't really mean to bring the littles along, but there was only 5 of them and they were all very young. That's what he liked about kids, to them you are who you are, not whatever label describes you. To them he wasn't a quirkless waste of space, just a kind friend.
