Three Months later

We were back home, the band taking a break from the tour. The others knew about the coming child awhile ago, and I was starting to show, just a little bit.

For breakfast, I decided to make mac-n-cheese, since I was really craving it.

"Why the hell-?" A sleepy Slash asked, still have asleep. "Want some?" I asked, offering him a bowl. He took it, still confused. I smiled, sitting down at the table. "We should go to the mall after your appointment." Slash said, sitting down next to me. His phone went off, and he immediately answered it, his tone completely changing. Duff sat down on the other side of me, watching Slash pace around across the room. "He started seeing a girl." He whispered. I nodded, as he hung up, smiling, sitting back down.

"So who's the girl?" I asked, making him spit out his food. "Hm?"

"Don't deny it, we aren't dumb." Duff said. He shook his head, "I swe-"

"That's why you want to go to the mall, isn't it?" I asked, interrupting him. He started blushing, look down at the ground, "No.."

"Slash has a girlfriend!" Duff started chanting, walking out of the room. I laughed, before going back to the room to wake Axl.

"We have to go to the doctor." I said, "We get to learn the gender!"

"Fine." He got up, quickly changing his shirt, before getting out to the car. Slash and Duff came along, but waited in the waiting room.

The doctor was doing the ultrasound, asking questions about what I've been eating and exercise. He suddenly stood up, "I have to see something." Axl and I sat there as he left, confused. I put my shirt back on, sitting up.

"What do you think that's about?" He asked, still staring at the door. I shrugged, "I'm sure it's fine."

Oh, was I in for a surprise.

The doctor came back in, flipping through pages on his clipboard. "I see you've had miscarriages before." He started. I stared at him, starting to get nervous. "Umm, yeah."

"Have you been abused before?" He asked. I exchanged looks with Axl, "Uh, yeah, my last boyfriend, he's gone now-"

He nodded, walking back out. I found myself shaking a little. "Hey, it's fine." He said, putting his hand on my knee. I nodded, taking a deep breath.

The doctor came in again, sitting down in his chair. He sighed, putting the clipboard down. "Ashlyn, Axl-"

I knew then, what was coming next.

"I'm sorry..."

......

This wasn't happening. How did this happen? I stared out the car window, the question repeating in my head.

The car ride was dead silent. I couldn't read Axl's face, which scared me. What if he thought it was my fault? I started trembling, but we were soon home. I quickly got out of the car, running quickly into the house.

"Oh hey, how did the app-" I pushed passed Izzy and Steven, into the bathroom, slamming the door. I locked myself in there, before breaking down. I crawled into the bathtub, curling up into a ball, crying.

Every fucking time.

I don't even know why I got my hopes up in the first place.

Everyone was knocking on the door, but I just ignored them.

It's all my fault.

Axl is going to hate me.

These thoughts kept running through my head, until I fell asleep.

......

I slowly woke up, looking around. Quickly, I remembered what happened. I looked out the window, the sun was setting. I stepped out of the bathtub, washing my face. After a minute of staring at myself, look shitty as ever, I slowly unlocked the door. I opened it slowly, peeking out at first, before quietly walking down the dark hall. Axl's door was shut, which made me feel more bad. I peeked out into the living room, where the others sat. Izzy noticed me first, walking over to me.

"Hey," He said, quickly hugging me, "You hungry?" I shook my head, sitting down with the others. It was quiet for a few seconds, before I broke the silence, "Is Axl mad at me?"

"Of course not." Slash said, "Not at you." I nodded, before getting up. I didn't feel like talking right now, I just wanted to be alone.

"He's outside, if you want to see him." Steven said, pointing at the front door. I nodded, walking through the kitchen, going outside. Axl was sitting on the porch step, watching the sun set. I sat down next to him, but neither of us said anything for a while.

Long after the sun was down and the moon high up, he wrapped an arm around me, pulling me into a hug. I felt myself tearing up on his shoulder, "I'm sorry." I whispered.

"It's not your fault." I let my arms wrap around him, and we stayed like that for a while, before going to bed.

Neither of us slept that night.
