One Month Later

Thins were starting to get better. Almost like it never happened. Axl seemed happy, still practicing with the others. He always snuck out any chance he got just to see me, which made me feel better.

Today, Slash's girlfriend was coming over, and he wanted everything perfect. Everyone sat on the couch, watching him pace back and forth. To be honest, it was kinda fun to watch.

"She's here!" Axl said, scaring Slash. "Man don't do that." We all laughed, "I'm not lying." Axl said between laughs. Before anyone else could say anything, Slash was out the door. We all ran into the kitchen, peeking out the window. The girl stepped out of her car, hugging Slash. She was short, with long blonde hair.

I got bad vibes from her.

"They're coming in!" We all ran back to the living room, trying to act casual. The door opened, both Slash and the girl were laughing.

"Guys," Slash started, wrapping his arm around the girl, "This is Savannah," He turned towards her, "Savannah, that Izzy, Duff, Steven, Axl and his girlfriend, Ashlyn." She stared at me, smile obviously forced. "Hey guys." I forced myself to smile back, before getting up with Axl.

"So, what should we have for supper?" I asked in the kitchen. "I don't know, what do you feel like making?" He asked, looking in the fridge.

"How bout a barbeque?" Steven suggested, grabbing a burger flipper. "As long as I get the biggest burger." Izzy said behind him, running out the door.

"Well Ima go take a shower." Axl said, quickly kissing me. "Ok."

I decided to make potato salad, since I had nothing better to do.

As I was cooking the potatoes, Savannah decided to talk to me.

"Hello." She said, standing next to me. "Hey." I said flatly.

"What are you making?" She asked, as I went to grab salt. "Potato salad, for the barbeque." She nodded, still looking in the pot. I quickly added salt, and pretended to take my time to put it away, knowing she was still looking into the food. I heard a little rip of a packet, but pretended not to. Suddenly, she backed away from it, looking around. "So, you and Axl, huh?" I gave her a questioning look, slowly nodding, "Yeah." She walked out of the kitchen. I quickly looked into the pot, smelling the drug.

Girl, I aint stupid.

I emptied the water down the sink, grabbing a new pan, and put new potatoes in. I washed the other one, putting it away, so she wouldn't notice.

I finished the salad, and we all ate.

It was getting dark, and Savannah was still here. I was watching tv with Duff, when Slash came into the living room.

"Have any of you seen Savannah?"

"Um, no." Duff said, turning back towards the tv. I got up, to help look for her.

"Maybe Axl knows." I followed Slash down the hall, to his room. He opened the door, and immediately, went wide-eyed. He tried blocking me, but I pushed past him.

Axl was kissing Savannah.

"What the hell?" We both yelled at the same time.

"Ashlyn, wai-"

Too late. I was out the door. Slash followed, and we went out to his car.

"Drive." I yelled waiting for the door to open. Slash quickly pulled out of the driveway, and sped off.

I honestly didn't know where we were going, nor did I care. I felt a mixture of emotions, mostly anger. I didn't even look at Slash, but I knew he wasn't any happier.

He parked in a empty parking lot, turning of the car. We sat there, in silence for a bit.

"I'm sorry." Slash whispered. I turned towards him, "For what?"

"I was the one who invited her over," He swallowed, taking a shaky breath. "If I would've known-"

"But you didn't." I cut him off, putting an arm on his shoulder, "It' not your fault."

He sighed, looking at me. I found myself looking back at him.

We kissed.
