Sora and Penny look around nervously, forgetting for a moment about Cassandra still at their feet. It was a little dark here, and they could not make much out. Then a shadow moved towards them quickly, so quickly they both shifted into defense.
"Put your hands down, where is my sister!"
Sora and Penny looked at the face that the alarmed voice came from. Burns covered his face from his mouth down. He looked scary as he glared at the two girls as they protected Cassandra that was mumbling behind them on the floor. "Cas!" he yelled as he pushed the girls out of the way, ignoring that they might use their quirks on him. He dropped to his knees in front of Cassandra and took her in his arms as she stared blankly, fighting inside her mind against her fears that kept trying to overtake her existence. "I'm so glad your okay, you- you are okay, right?" he looked at her as she quietly muttered about Endeavor, and her failures over and over again.
"Hey! Shigaraki, what happened? Why is she like this, why can't she see?" he yelled behind him furiously to Shigaraki. "Dabi, calm down. Their quirk came out of nowhere. I'm not really sure how it works, but I think it might have to do with looking in their eyes. Even by accident. We will figure out how to break her out of it, she just needs to keep fighting," he motioned to Kurogiri, "we need to contact One for All, he might have some information on this and how to break it." then Shigaraki and Kurogiri walked out of the room, leaving Dabi with his sister and two terrified girls staring at him like he was some kind of monster.
That was when a young girl came running into the room. She had blonde hair, and was in what seemed to be a school uniform. Her yellow eyes landed on the two girls and then quickly to the mess of Dabi's sister on the floor. "Twice, take them somewhere else." she yelled behind her. Then another one showed up, the one name Twice, and approached the two girls that shrank into each other the closer he got.
"You two, follow me. And trust us, we are not going to hurt you." he said to them, "I promise." he reassured them as they looked at him with distrust. They looked at Cassandra but were too afraid to go near the man named Dabi. He looked like he might attack anyone that went near her at the moment. They reluctantly followed Twice further into the LOV hideout, further and further away from their friend. And away from any feeling of safety that always rested in Cassandra.
-Two Days Later-
"Dabi, go get some sleep. You have been up for more than 24 hours, I promise we will watch over her. Plus we are keeping her sedated to keep her from hurting herself," Dabi looked over to Toga, that seemed just as tired as he.
"You look just as tired Toga, you don't even know her do you?" Dabi decided to ask her the question that had been gnawing at him for about a day. Toga avoided his gaze and started twisting her hair around her fingers. She swung her feet back and forth in her chair, still avoiding his question. The silence dragged on so long and thick that a knife could cut it.
"Toga!" he growled disagreeably. He was losing his patience with her. His glare bored into Toga as she stared at Cassandra.
"Okay, okay. I knew her for awhile at the school. But I didn't know she was your sister until you told me about getting her out of there. I didn't know we were bringing tag-alongs though," she muttered finally. "We used to be friends, back before the accident at the school and we got separated," she explained.
"What accident?" he demanded.
"The fire. But afterwards, she did not remember about it...or me. I managed to escape shortly after that, but I could not find her to bring her with me. They had her locked up somewhere since the night of the fire," her eyes glistened a bit as she remembered having to leave her closest friend in that prison, "I don't know much about the accident myself. All I remember was her eyes turned red, and she was out of control. Then I blacked out after a beam fell and knocked me out. I woke up two days later in a hospital on lockdown because of the 'dangerous' students there," she finished and looked down at her hands as a tear escaped her eye.
"Did you know these other two back then?" Dabi continued questioning her.
"I didn't know Sora. But Penny, I knew her well. She was terrible. Most of all to Cassandra, she bullied her when we were kids there. Not that the teachers really cared, they done worse than what we did to each other. Life was hell there, Penny was just a terrible person. Always pushing Cassandra," Toga shook her head from the memories, and from seeing her again.
Just then, who would walk into the room at that moment but Penny herself...
