Chap 2

MEHRUL POV
Everybody was hugging and meeting him
And when Manal hugged him my blood boiled I don't know this feeling arouse after many yearss

When I went down there was a debate going on
On who's going to drive to go get ice cream
'Jis tadad mai aap log hain usme aik gaari puri nhi hoegi'
(The amout you're in one car won't be enough)
Dad said

'Itne paida karne ka kisne bola tha'
(Who told you to give birth to these many)
Hamad murmured under his breathe but he earned a slap from rafey chachu on the back of his head

'Kon kamin...' he was about to complete but his abba and went speechless

'Huh tatoo'
(Huh stupid)
I exclaimed to hamad

Everybody started arguing on who's going to drive
Murat said he will drive one car but the other?

'I can drive' I interrupted their conversation
And all the eyes were on me

'Chalo you kids go we are going to sleep' rafey chachu said holding sumaiya chachis hand and moving towards his bedroom
And all the adults went away

'Acha ab kon kiski Gary mai ja rha decide'
( now decide who's going in who's car)
mahd said

'Mai tou apni behn ki gaari mai ja rha'
( I am going in my sisters car)
He replied to his own question putting his hand on my shoulder

'Me too'
Hamad yelled

'Me three' saad yelled

'Ok 1 more now'
I said

'Count me in'
Sameer said and everybody's eyes went on him

'Aik hello tou Kia nhi aur ab jaane ki baat aai tou begum yaad agai'
(You didn't even say hello and when it was time to go you remembered your wife)
Saad said putting his hand on my shoulder

'Shut up' I said jerking his hand away and walking towards my room to grab the keys
I heard Mahd Hamad and saad laughing like idiots

I took my keys and went running downstairs

'Let's goooo' I yelled jumping from the third last stair

We went outside and I sat in the driving seat when I heard someone saying

And obviously it had to be sameer nobody rejected as well because what else do they want than me and sameer getting along

He came and sat in and I looked at him with the worst expressions and gave saad and mahd a death glare
And started the car while I heard them chuckling

IDIOTSS
I put on my seatbelt and the others did too
Ummm this is Pakistan why are they putting on their seatbelt

'Why are you wearing your seatbelt' I asked the guys turning around
'We don't want to risk our lives' Hamad said holding his seatbelt tightly

I raised my hand to slap him and he flinched but someone horned and it was Murat

'Let's go' he said
'Where to Bro' I said
'Ice cream parlour' he replied
'Arey wahhhh' I said making faces

'Naam bhonk na beyy' I shouted
'Oh sorry baskin robin chal lo' he told me
'Ok' and I smile innocently and pushed the race  making the car go on 80

'Bismillah bismillah' hamad was repeating again and again
'O Allah please forgive me for my sins I promise I will pray daily and in masjid' I heard mahd as well
'Allah sorry I want to die a bachelor iski khud ki shaadi ho gai ha aur hame quwara maarne ki koshish kar rhi' Than I heard saad cry
Hahahah I laughed while slowing down the car

I heard sameer laughing it was so relaxing and was like music to my ears

He then opened the deck and connected his phone to Bluetooth and started playing songs
I pressed the break suddenly
'ARE YOU MAD' saad yelled
'I didn't pray shit' I yelled
'Ohk pray after getting home what's the worry'
Sameer said putting on his seatbelt

'Why make your prayer wait when everything else can wait' I stated while finding a parking spot
And there was silence in the car
I parked and got out immediately picking up my purse while going into the shop when I spotted murats car
I waved and Manal came out of the passenger seat window and waved back

We went in the shop and after everybody picked out their ice creams
Saad came to me
'Tum nhi kha rhi'
'Nopes I replied
'Why is your husband so sweet that you aren't eating meetha' he said while stuffing ice cream in his mouth and I flicked his forehead. He started rubbing his forehead while wincing

'Mehrul treat Aaj Teri taraf se na?'
(Mehrul today the treat is from you right?)
Hamad asked me
'Hein kun bhae'
(What why)
I questioned

'Bhae Tera shohar waapis aya ha aik treat tou Banti ha'
(Bro your husband is back you can give a treat at least)
Hamad replied

'Han dede mehrul wese bhi jitni tujhe pocket money milti ha usme tou tere paas bohat paisa hoga'
( yes give the treat and the amount of pocket money you get you must have a lot of money)
Murat said

'Mere hi bhai ho na aur mujhe koi itni pocket money nhi milti'
(You are my brother right and I don't get a lot of pocket money)
I replied to him

'Liar'
Zohan said

'Murat gives you 10k mahd gives you 5k than your baba gives yoh 20k and your beloved rafey chachu aka my own abba gives you 20k' zayan said putting his hand on zoyas shoulder and I smiled nervously

'Hain baba gives you 20k even I get only 10k' zoya said jerking her brothers hand away while looking very sad and all of us burst in to laughter
'Ok I will pay Kia yaad rakhoge gareebo jao jeelo'
(Go beggars live)
I said feeling very superior

We returned and this time I took shahnoor with me so that her brother can't come
Thankgod and obviously these three idiot teased me the whole ride

We finally reached home and I went straight to my room and jumped on the bed not before putting my hair in a bun
I had fun and I missed these family time
Thank god everything is back to normal

I curse sitting up remembering I had to pray so I went to the washroom and did ablution
I came out and spread the prayer mat

Just than sameer knocked and came in my room
'Uhhhh now I have to to ablution again' I said looking at him
'Wait why' he questioned
'Because you can't look at na mahram while you're in wudu'
'But I'm not na mahram' he said and reality hit me
I mouthed oh to him and started my prayer

After finishing my prayer I prayed Surah mulk and went to sameer to blow on him
He was laying down with his eyes and sat up with a jolt when I blowed on him

'Why did you blow on me'
'I recited surah mulk'
'I know why did you blow ME' he said emphasizing the word me
'Because mama says blow on anybody near you no matter how close they are to you or how much you hate them and I don't hate you that much' I said and a smile crept on his face
I folded the mat and was about to go away when he held my hand
'Thankyou for giving me another chance' he said and smile back at him
I could see his eyes shining
And I fell in them
