Chap 16

SAMEER POV
I came from the office and saw that mehrul went shopping
This was the first time I saw her shopping by heart
I directly went in my room
I was so so tired
Mehrul was following
I really didn't want to talk to anyone

'Assalamulaikum' Mehrul came inside the room and closed the door
I was taking my shirt off
I didn't reply to her

'Kesa tha Aaj ka din'
'Acha tha' I replied not having any energy
'Acha suno mai Aaj apne doston se milne jaonga so I will return late' I told her
'Ohk than you want to have dinner right now' she asked
God I just told her that I am going
'No Mehrul' I said in a stern and a little loud
voice

I went to the washroom ASAP
I came out all freshen up and she wasn't in the room
So I took my wallet and phone and left
Har baat pe mun nhi charana chahiye

MEHRUL POV
He was really tired so I didn't wanted to talk with him
I could see his eyes yet he was going to his friends
Maybe he will freshen up

I went downstairs to make lab-e-sheeren for him
It was favorite sweet dish
Although I was really tired but I wanted to make something for him
It been 3 days since our marriage and I haven't made anything for him
So I went in the kitchen it was empty
All the ladies were gone to the neighbors sons wedding but the food was made

My phone buzzed
We will go next week I couldn't fine tickets for tomorrow
If you really want to go than we can tomorrow but it will take 32 hours to reach the place I want to take you too

I sighed and replied
Ok we can go next week

I wish he comes back and his mood is fine

I was in midway of making the dessert
'Mehrul' zayan called me
'Yes I'm in the kitchen' I yelled back with almost no energy left
'Kia kar rhi ho' zayan said coming in the kitchen with hamad
'Making dessert for sameer his mood was off today wanted to do something to cheer him up' I told them
'Yaar mujhe bhi shaadi karni ha meri biwi bhi mere liye itne pyaar se banaye' zayan said lost in his fantasize
I laughed at his stupidness

'Khair tu tou shopping ke liye gai thi na but whyyyy' hamad asked extending the why
'Han sameer told me we were going for our honeymoon but he postponed it we are going next week now' I said with a sad smile and I'm sure hamad understood

'Aren't you tired' zayan asked me
'I am but sometimes you have to sacrifice for your loved ones' I replied to him
'Bas mai shaadi karne ja rha' zayan said dramatically and we bursted laughing
I was constantly twisting my left foot because it was paining a lot

'Paon mai dard ho rha ha' zayan asked and I gave him a smile
'Han magr sahi ha' I replied
'Acha jaldi bnao mai Manal ko bhejta hoon help ke liye' zayan said and hamad agreed

'Nhi chhordo wese bhi banne Wali Ha' I told them and they left the kitchen
'We are back' I heard minaal chachi yell
Hahaha she still acts like a kid

She directly came in the kitchen because the light was open
Mama and saman chachi came along
'Arey wah Aaj aap kitchen mai' mama taunted
'Han woh sameer ke liye dessert bna rhi thi'
I replied
'Hayeeee koi hamare liye bhi itne pyaar se bnae' rafey chachu said putting his hand on his heart

'Ahista bolo mama bahar hi ha phir raat mai ghoom rhe honpge lounge mai sone ki jaga dhoondne ke liye' hamad said coming in the kitchen
He earned a tight slap from his father

'Acha aap log change karke lounge mai jaen mai dessert le kar aati hoon' I told them and pushed them out of the kitchen
I looked at the time and I was almost cooking for 2 hours now
No matter my foot was hurting so badly
I went to the room washed my face and applied cream on my foot

I told Manal and zoya to serve it and saved some for sameer separately

HAMAD POV
I was pitying mehrul
It took her so much time to make just a dish
She made it with so much love
I know he's going to create some problem

He's was very angry today
I called him to ask what happened between him and mehrul
But he replied very rudely

God I hope nothing happens
Her foot was hurting but she still cooked for him and not only him
For everybody because she knew how much this dish loved by us
She will get hurt so badly

I was siting eating with everybody and mehrul came
She was limping a little
I'm sure saman chachi noticed
Her foot was shining that means she applied ointment on her foot

Uhhhhhh
'Baba Bas meri shaadi karein' zayan told or more like ordered baba
I chuckled I knew what was coming
'Kun kisi larki ki zindagi kharab karun mai Uaur agar karni bhi ha kharab tou pehle hamad ki karaunga' baba replied

'Hein mera koi irada nhi abhi shaadi karne ka' I told them
'Bhai tu pehla ha mumtaz manzil mai jisse bolne par bhi shaadi nhi karni' saad said to me
'Par achi larki dhoondenge hum bhai' Zoha told me
'Pehle mai apna career banao settle hojao
Phir inshallah' I told them
'Phir tou hume mehrul ko bolna parega tujhe manane ke liye' baba said to me although he was joking I took it very seriously
I wanted my family to know that I won't marry before I achieve my goal

' but baba Maine kaam abhi strat Kia ha inshallah aik sun jab mai successful ho jaonga phir mai khud bolunga' I told them in a stern voice
'Shhhh they are joking only' Mehrul told me indicating me to keep shut
'But mehru-'
'Shhh' she told me to keep quiet
I know how much she respects the elders but still

Everybody chatted a little amd went in their rooms
I went to talk to mehrul
'Mehrul'
'Hmm'
'Tu mujhe force tou nhi karegi na shaadi karne ke liye mai tujhe mana nhi kar sakta'
'Jab tak tu khud nhi bolega tab tak mai Teri shaadi nhi hone doongi' she replied to me

Although she's younger than but she has experienced so much pain and hardships that she became mature before her age

I gave her a smile and returned to my room

MEHRUL POV
I was waiting for sameer it was almost 4 in the morning
My eyes were shut but I was keeping myself awake
I miss his warmth

I heard the door open
And looked towards the door
'Soi nhi ho abhi tak' sameer said but he sounded rude
'Nhi aap ka wait kar rhi thi dinner kar liye' I asked him and didn't got a reply Instead he went to the washroom and came back changed

'Sameer aapke liye-'
'Mehrul please abhi nhi mai bohat thaka hua hoon apni daastane kal sunana' he told me very rudely
I gulp formed in my throat
'Sameer but'
'Mehrul please don't argue and sleep'
'Sameer magr mer-'
'MEHRUL SHUT UP AND SLEEP' he shouted at me
I flinched at his voice

Tears formed in my eyes and I laid down pulling the comforter over me

In a little while I heard the azaan
I prayed and prayed to my Allah to not make things hard for me
Tears were running down my eyes

I decided to ignore sameer until he gets normal
But deep down I knew how hurt I was
I made a custard for him with so much love
I was so tired but still
I smiled and a tear ran down my eyes
My eyes were dried
I rubbed them harshly

I went to bed mad I wasn't able to sleep because my feet was hurting
I sat up and turned the lamp next to me
'Turn the light off' Sameer told me in a harsh voice
'Just a sec' I replied in the most jolly voice
I quickly took the bandage out and wrapped it around my foot

I turned the lamp off and slept as I was extremely tired
