[They are players like you but they seem to be able to control the game hence the reason they are on everyone's hud]

[Hello fellow gamers! This is such a beautiful world is it not? Now I'm going to make it even more beautiful by tweaking a few things using your helmets.]

[Our helmets? Oh no I forgot about that I have to logout...! There is no logout button!Enza!]
[Master it seems they have complete control over the game's system, they appear to be overriding the safety settings on the helmet.]
[WHAT! Damn it !]

[Alright we are done tweaking, now we will be taking something of yours that is very valuable yet makes the game seems more like ahh... Hmm a game. You will find a more detailed explanation in your quests bars. Good luck to all 500,000 of you! Also, for those pesky boys and girls who thought they could change genders, we will be adjusting that after you wake up!]

(A few minutes later)

[Ugh what was that?]

[It appears that they were somehow able to knockout every single player. It also appears that some very important changes were made to the game.]
[We will have to worry about those changes later then, I want to know what they took from me.]
I open up my quest bar and click on the quest that says "Welcome to the new Uphorian Online".
(Welcome fellow gamers! I know you must be confused and upset right now but don't worry! We only took your memories of the outside world! This means that every single one of you can be born again right here in this new world! Also remember those npc's from before? They are going to have their own emotions now and aren't going to be chained down to much by the system! They will be just like you players just weaker! But watch out! There are huge kingdoms scattered throughout this world that are governed by npcs or the official name for them, The People. Also, if you die... Don't worry! You have three lives to waste before you actually die! But this only applies with being killed by a non-player entity. If you are killed by a player, you will die for real. To beat this game you must first find us one by one and kill each one of us. But you will need at least an army to defeat us so ally yourselves with The People and you might stand a chance. Also, we might have said that we taken all your memories but that's impossible. We only made it impossible for you to remember specific things like locations, names, faces, and things like that. You will still have some basic memories of animals, science, history, and a few other important things so don't spend the entirety of your virtual life distraught!)
[No way... they took our memories. That is a feat in itself if one really thinks about it. Good thing I don't really have friends to speak of anyway. This is almost every gamers dream yet it seems so... Sad. Well whatever it's not like they took all our memories! We can't go around sulking we have to do something! Now let's go buy some gear!]
