Chapter 11 - Coward much?

OK i dont know why or what but suddenly there was like so many new comments on this story asking me to update and update and honestly, i was in tears. literally. ok jk. nevermind. but i was touched. i dont know where you guys found out about my story..

Evelyn's POV

Weeks passed by and there hasn't been any minutes passed without my mind replaying back those powerful, meaningful words that i've always dreamt coming from my prince charming. Yes, it was "I love you" by Zayn Malik. lol i just made that sound like a song.

But that just made me going farther from him. Everytime i passed by him, he would avoid me. Though i swear he was just staring at me like seconds ago. It was confusing. I don't know what he wants. Should i act the same? Or should i make the first move?

And what happend to Finn? Well...the boys still teased me, and i don't know when it will stop but he became a good...company. When i walk through the halls, he would walk towards me, started talking, and walk with me to my class. I don't mind, he was being friendly. And i need a good company.

I've became much more closer with my best friend, Heather and Emma. But i just can't shake the feeling that Em's hiding something from me. She still keeping secrets. And her actions aren't making it any easier. Sometimes she would be gone for hours and let Heather and i alone. It bothers me but i try to let it go because sometimes we all have those secrets that nobody can't know.

Aaron and i stil keeps our distance though i can feel the walls between us slowly melted. We've spent more times together than we ever before, like having dinner together, watching movies, and the things brother and sister would do. Mom and Dad haven't returned yet from their so called 'trip' yet, but it's not a problem for me anymore. Aaron and i can live with ourselves. They abandoned us.

Though one day, Aaron got the letter that the money wasn't enough to keep this house standing.

"What the hell?" Aaron yelled as soon as he saw it.

"What is it?" I asked, slowly approaching him. Aaron has some angry issues and i know better to not come closer when he's in angry.

"The money. It's not enough."

"The money from Isaac?"

"Yes." He sat on the sofa and buried his head. "I don't get it. I've counted it with my own hands and my own mind...i used calculator...there's no way that i miscalculated it."

"Hey," i touched his back gently like Mom used to when Dad's stressed. I sat next to him. "Maybe they've miscalculate it...we can always call them and--"

"and what? told them that they're wrong?"

"Well..." i faltered. "How many money that we owe again?"

He hesitate and got up. "No. I shouldn't be discussing this with you."

"Seriously? After all we've been through? Look where we got when you keep this all to yourself. When you didn't tell me?" I can't believe that i almost got killed because he didn't tell me about the debts and he was about to do it again. Have some brain, brother.

"It was none of your business! This is not for teenagers."

"Excuse me?" My head was hot. I can't handle my emotions. "We've been living under this roof long before i was born. This place, was the only thing that's keeping us together as a family. I was raised here, you were raised here. We lived here. With Mom and Dad. This place has memories that can't be trade with anything, and if you think i don't care less about this house, well you're wrong. I care. I do. I don't want to lose it. If you still treat me as a teenager, it's about time you stop. Because right now we're the only one living in this family, and like it or not, what you decide about this family happens to effect me. So if you want to make a decision, tell me. Before you tell anyone else."
