Chapter 10 - Happy ending?

Evelyn's POV

I woke up as someone hold my hand gently. The light facing me was so bright it blinded me.  I cover the light with my palm and face the person who was holding my hand.

it was the guy who hold me when i fall, the guy who kisses my wound when i'm bruised, the guy who'd do whatever it takes to cheer me up, the guy who's willing to give me a ride when he's busy, the guy who helped me when i have no one, the guy that i'm willing to go all this just to have him there beside me. It was my one and only big brother, Aaron.

The back of my eye started to sting as i hugged him. 

"It's okay, i'm here. We're safe, we're alright." He soothed words to my ear as he pats my back.

"Don't leave me again...ever."

"Never."

Aaron's POV

So i told Evelyn all the problems that i've been through. That i'm actually an unworthy big brother for her.

We needed money. Our family needs it if we want to stay alive. Since dad needs to pay for his debts, mom and dad gone overseas for a month or two to work for a long lost relative. To get money. I don't know why they're being honest to me and not to Evelyn. Maybe they don't want her to worry.

But i just can't sit there and watch can't i? I need to do something..and it was due next week anyway and i don't get any messages from mom nor dad since they left. I was a fool, i could've just worked in starbucks to get money, not working for a killer. Wise choice Aaron.

Evelyn was the only reason i need to liven up this family. She's the only pure thing in my life. I need to make sure her future didn't end like mine.

After the incident, Isaac got caught and was sent to jail. Thank god the police made it in time.

"How come i never knew?" She asked, her hazel eyes searching for my brown ones. "How come nobody told me? How come--i never realize.."

"I'm sorry, Eve. We just don't want you to worry."

"Well look where that got us." She quickly added, "Nevermind. It's all over now anyway, right?"

I smiled. "Yes."

 Niall's POV

The moment Eve's brother, Aaron walk through the door, everybody was tensed. His brother intimidates me. Maybe because his straight posture and loud voice that reminds me of a strict man. Though his eyes tells us something else.

"She's fine." He said. I coulds see everyone's eyes starting to relax and sigh in relief. I was too. It was a relief hearing her fine after all that she's been through. "But she needs to rest first. She's sleeping right now."

"Does that mean we can't see her?" Finn asked, boldly.

"No." Aaron replied. Something about his tone tells me that he is very protective around Eve. "Not now."

"Can i--we just see her? We won't disturb her we swear. We'll be quiet. We just want to know if she's really fine."

"Didn't you hear what i just said?"

Finn gone quiet.

"Thank you. And if you'll excuse me i need to go. I would really appreciate you guys if you don't disturb my sister."

All of the boys smiled and some gave him a thumbs up. He replied it and walked away.

"What was that about? We can't see Eve?" Finn said, annoyed. "After all we've been through?"
