Lorelei
Before I start to tell you about the annual ball that is going on tonight, let me tell you about myself, family, and origin. Okay so my name is Lorelei Summers, I am 5" tall with one green eye and one brown, my hair is long and wavy past my bottom, and the red as a sunset after a rainstorm and I along with my family am from the Northern Park Territory. I'm a werewolf and I'm the second born to the alpha family of the Heliolatry Park in North America. My brother is the first born and next in line to become alpha after our father. My brother got to shift into his wolf form at the age of 16 like all the other males in our world but us females can't shift till after we are marked by our mates. Our pack is the largest in the Northern Territories, because of this we arrive three hours before the other northern packs, the same goes for the other major packs of each territory. There are four major territories which we all call the four corners of the world. The territories are the Northern Territory(us), the West Territory, the East Territory, and last the South Territory. Each territory has a main pack that is the largest. In the north is my pack the Heliolatry Pack, in the south is the pack known as the Gealach pack, the east pack are known as the Uranus, and lastly the western pack is known as the Gaea.
Tonight, is the night of the annual ball that every pack around the world goes to, each year a different corner of the world host the ball and this year the Southern Pack the Gealach pack is hosting it. During the annual ball each year rouges are allowed onto the hosting packs territory if they are peaceful, because of this every unmated wolf of age has a high probability of meeting their mate unless that mate is of course underage still. At these balls every pack can renew alliances and make new ones if the opportunity arises. For the last three hours my mother has been barking orders at the stylist that is assigned to our house to get us ready for the ball. Currently, the stylist is trying to appease my mother by covering my birthmark that is near my eye. My mother was the only one that was obsessed with it being covered, even though I would prefer if I could show it off because to me it looked like the clip art version of the sun, plus at the ball they always hand out masks to the unmated wolves to wear so that if you find your mate it is by touch and the mate can not make a bias decision based on looks alone. I find it peculiar that my mother was focused on me more than my brother since he too is unmated and will hopefully find his mate tonight, she would become the Luna of my family's pack.
One Hour Later
Finally, after a lot of foundation the stylist was able to leave me to get dressed in a stunning emerald green velvet dress my mother picked out for me. Whereas my brother and father per tradition must wear the packs colors which are burnt orange and neon yellow, two colors that would be extremely awful on me since my mother and I have red hair and whereas my father and brother have dark auburn almost brown hair. In about two hours everyone will start loading into the private planes to travel to the Gealach Pack of the south. There are roughly five to six thousand pack members aside from the high-ranking pack members of my pack. Many generations ago the alpha of the Northern pack had sixty custom made planes made for occurrences like these, and sixty-five private jets for the high-ranking wolves whom are classified as alpha, beta, and deltas of every pack around the world.
Two Hours Later
Finally, we are done getting ready and our private jet waits for the rest of the pack to get into there assigned planes so that we can take off. After what seemed like an eternity, my family gets mind-linked by the pack to let us know everyone is loaded into the planes, in which my father mind-links all the piolets and lets them know to take flight. As we become airborne, I grip my brothers hand in a death grip during the turbulence till we are flying smoothly. I wait for the seatbelt light to go off because I want to grab my books I packed for the flight out of my carryon. Most of the flight I read my books so that I don't get motion sickness. As I am almost finished with my second book; Pride and Prejudice, we get told to fasten our seatbelts because we'll be landing soon, so I place my books back in my carryon and proceed to fasten my seatbelt before holding my brothers' hand for dear life again until the jet lands and stops moving.
As we land on Gealach packs land my birthmark begins to tingle and sparkle slightly, but no one notice but me. I ask my brother what he thought would make it tingle but he just mutters something along the lines of make-up before getting up and wiggling the fingers of the hand I recently let go from my death grip. Before getting up to leave the jet I tell my mother I was going to the jets' bathroom. Once in the bathroom I investigated my birthmark in the mirror only to gasp because it was now a deep yellow color and very much not hidden anymore. I knew that my mother would think that I uncovered it, so I swept my hair to the right side of my head to make my hair and bangs cascade down the right side of my face and shoulder. My mother observes me in which she approves of me moving my hair to the right side. This just peaks, my curiosity on the peculiar behavior once more.
The Gealach's high-ranking wolves are waiting for me to get off the jet to begin introductions. My mark starts to tingle again but as soon as it started it went away making my look around quickly out of curiosity. As everyone was introduced, we are then shown the way through the castle to the banquet hall. Since we are high-ranking wolves, we must wait for all the other high-ranking wolves to gather at their assigned doors in which we will enter after our pack name was summoned. I start to fidget as I wait for our packs name to be called and I began fidgeting more so as my mark begins to tingle again to the point that it was painful, breathing deeply I pushed the pain aside and held my breathe as the banquet hall doors began to open in which every pack other than the high-ranking looking at us as we are stepping out onto the banquet floor under a magnificent chandelier.
