It was Amiri's family reunion today this was Celine's first time actually meeting his side of the family so she was a little nervous. she sprayed her chanel perfume over her body and straightened out any bumps in her dress. she wore a silk baby blue dress that came down barely to the top of her knees and slid her white pedicured toes into her denim christian dior slides. she'd only chosen this color because today they were finally revealing to his family that the gender of their baby was a boy. Celine was too thirsty to have a gender reveal she ripped the results open soon as she got them even though Celine wanted a girl she was satisfied with just having a healthy baby period.
"You ready?" Amiri peeked his head into the bathroom before sliding in and shutting the door behind him, he walked behind her and placed his hands around her waist softly pecking at the crook of her neck.
"Mhm." she clipped her chanel earrings onto her earlobe and flashed him a smile through the mirror.
he grabbed her hand and guided her out the bedroom and down to the garage, Celine was now six months pregnant she had already informed her mom soon as she found out with a surprise gift she had sent her a dozen roses but instead of them being red she sent a mixture of blue and pink ones with the real gender inside a envelope. Now it was time to tell Amiri's family it was his idea to keep it secret from his side of the family and the world until today. His manager had been in his ear lately about doing stupid shit for more exposure to their brand and his music i didn't 100% agree with half the shit like him having to lie to the world about a disease he didn't really have. It had cost me a ton of bad rep and damaged my relationship with my close friends Brooke and Furly they didn't understand how i could so blindly follow behind Amiri but they didn't see the love we shared.
"What's on yo' mind?"
i must've been staring out the window for a long time 'cus his question had caught me completely off guard. "Yeah."
he gave me a look filled wit' confusion. "I said, what's on yo mind what you mean yeah?!"
"Nothing."
instead of pestering her he left it alone figuring it was just some hormonal stuff he lit his blunt instead and laid back in his seat while Celine continued to gaze out the window she started to feel nauseous more and more as they approached closer and closer to his grandpa's residence. Amiri and his grandparents had a tight relationship something like the relationship she had with Nana but closer. when his grandmother died he was torn and she could tell he still carried that burden years later. sometimes Celine felt like them losing their grandmother's was the common ground that kept them together because they both knew that pain and coped together. you could hear it in his songs how hurt he was whenever he spoke about her which pretty much was the only time he spoke about her because in person he really didn't like bringing her up.
