Missing his days with Sam, Dean couldn't help but still be bothered about how he couldn't save him from going to Hell with Lucifer. Even now that he's with Lisa and Ben he never felt like he was home.
So without telling her or Ben, he went on a hunt that piqued his interest the moment he saw it. He did left a note though, even though all that was written in there was 'going somewhere, be back soon'.
The case was about cattles dying by organ harvesting, sounds pretty normal but it went from animal to human organ harvesting. And to add to this odd phenomenon, in the article he found, police took pictures of a child who was nearby the crimescene everytime it happens but seemed to always be cleared of suspicion.
The child's picture was blurred for privacy but he suspects the kid in doing all the murdering.
After stopping for some food he kept going til he got to Oregon. He drove around, after checking in a hotel, and stopped where police were taking pictures of another crimescene. Dawning his fbi costume he walked out of his car walked up to them.
"This isn't the first time this happened huh?" Dean started causing the two officers to look at him, "Agent Miller, what is that like the 4th this week?"
"5th, actually. I didn't know this was a major occurence for an FBI to come here" said the one with glasses
"We've been monitoring this particular case—" Dean stopped as he saw the kid walking out from behind a car, a camera on his hand.
"Who's the kid?" Dean motioned to the officers
"Ah, he's always around wherever we are, we've told him several times to go hom but he never responds and just ignore us, we've given up"
"Mind if I talk to him?"
The officers looked at eachother, "Knock yourself out, maybe he'll talk to ya"
As he got near the kid he looked at what he was carrying, a busted up black slingbag, accompanied by a water canteen, he was also wearing a bag that didn't look like it would hold up for longer. 'What is this kid carrying?' Dean asked himself.
"Hey kid whatcha doin' here?" he propped himself on the hood of a car where the kid thought he was hidden by
Under his worn out cap, that was slightly bigger on him even though it looked like he tigthened the lock to it's full capacity, he looked up at Dean, curios.
"Nice hat kid, where'd ya get it from?" asked Dean, somehow it looked familiar to him.
The kid looked at his camera and began taking pictures of the crime scene.
"Not into talking huh?" He looked around for a minute then back to where the kid was "Kid?" He walked around and saw him running into the forest.
Fearing what could happen to a child, even though he suspects the kid, he ran after him.
The kid was nimble, Dean almost struggled to keep up. After a while of running they were out of the forest and into a street where stood an abandoned house. Well he thought it was abandoned until he saw the kid run in.
He caught his breathe for a second and went in after the kid. When he got in he looked around. Tattered old books were on shelves, there were several guns hanging, ammos on a cabinet and a whole lot of paper around the place, on the walls on furnitures and on the floor. He was doubting himself with suspecting the kid to be the slaughterer as he analyzed the room. He grabbed a folder on the coffee table and opened it. Once he read the contents he hid it in his suit.
He went into a room where he heard noises coming from. The kid was picking off pictures in the mirror and was stuffing them in the drawers. He stopped when Dean stepped on a glass.
