Hannah pulled up beside the college sports field.
Taylor's brother hadn't really asked any questions. He'd heard her name before.

He'd told her she had taken up a coaching job at a school a couple of towns away.

She'd done as much searching as she could and managed to track down where the school was. She'd rung and asked about their after-school sports hearing about the efforts of the new Coach. Now she sat outside the game of soccer being played by college students.

"Good, good form Andy!"

Taylor took a look at her watch. They still had twenty minutes.

"Hey, hey champ." She indicated to one of her kids. "Can you get me a water?"

Her eye fell on a woman standing by the fence. "Thanks." She said to herself putting her hands on her hips. The woman's face was hidden under her cap and sunglasses, but she had that presence.

That Hannah Wade's presence.

"Here Coach."

She grabbed the water handed to her. The woman glanced her way. Taylor wasn't sure it was her or not, but the woman had made her think of her for a moment. She opened the bottle and took a drink turning back to the game.

"Mikey get out there and take Andy off." She leaned over the bench fighting the urge to look back at the fence.

She couldn't help herself. She tilted her head expecting to see her still there but she was gone.

Where had she gone?

"Coach."

"Yip." She turned around hearing the young voice.

"Here. I was told to give you this."

"Who's this from?" She opened it seeing an address. "Oh, some woman by the fence wanted me to give it to you."

"Thanks."

"She said she owes you five bucks."

Taylor walked up to the door of the motel room written on the note. She went to knock then hesitated. She couldn't do this.

Turning to leave she heard the door click open.

She stopped, shoving her hand in her pocket.

Turning around, Hannah was standing in the doorway.

Taylor was the first to look away.

"Can you come in?"

Taylor rolled her helmet in her hands.

Hannah watched her walk up to her through the doorway avoiding any contact.

She closed the door behind them.

Walking into the open room Hannah intertwined her fingers. She wasn't sure how this was going to go.

Taylor stood there in her jacket looking out the window. Her mind flicked through the memories of the woman standing behind her.

"I didn't think you would come."

"What do you want Hannah?"

Taylor asked finding the strength to face this.

Hannah watched her turn around finally letting her in. She rubbed her hands nervously.

"I um..." She looked away. "I wanted to thank you for coming to the show the other week. I hope you enjoyed it." Hannah could see the struggle on her face. "Ah, I wanted to give you something."
