The days following the witches' reveal of Sage's heritage, Remus had trouble following what his mate was up to. In his attempt at being supportive meant joining Sage and her practice with Aurelia and Amelia, along with the male witch named Duncan. They remained as guests on pack territory and attempted each element in their own manner to see which one was her specific calling.
But as of yet, nothing was making sense. Which caused Aurelia to wonder if there was even an additional element as weather was considered its own category.
Remus didn't know how many witches were just in his pack conducting research—Whether they focused on the Demon contract, contacting Willow, or just figuring out what the hell the purpose of the Underground. It meant a whole cluster of Witches on his territory, on top of the Reformed that were still taking up the decent chunk of the land.
The neighborhood that Sage had ordered to be constructed was one of the best ideas, as it was easy to expand after the plumbing and electricity were taken out of the way—And the pack was headstrong in providing if it meant everyone is protected.
While the Alpha's day usually consisted of playing with his children, making sure his mate ate enough—He was still battling out this newfound budget plan, he was so used to needing more funds so now it was the danger of sending out wolves to the human world to secure much-needed food.
The council made it a mission to ensure that drops would be given every other week or more, and it was starting to become difficult now that the council has fallen. But realistically, it didn't take much more than a conversation with Hayes to call up the purveyors the council used before and simply redirected the order and put everything on the pack card.
The humans never thought aboutwhy containers were being delivered to the middle of nowhere, but the whispers of a nature reserve and fire lookout towers needed this type of supplies.
Otherwise, humans were too stupid to check.
With the leftover funds after constructing houses for almost a hundred wolves and securing food for the rest of the fall season, Remus wondered what else could be done as a safety precaution.
"Eli...What's the status of our bunker?"
"Our—Our bunker? Goddess, Remus when's the last time you looked at it?" Remus frowned almost instantly and it brought him to go to the pack's entry for the safe haven. And it didn't take long until he and the males started coughing at the state it was left in. "Hell, maybe the contract is down here...YOU HEAR THAT DARIUS! CRACKING JOKES ABOUT YOUR HOMETOWN!" Jackson yelled, and the metal compartment below them acted as an echo.
"Maybe we can get wind man in here, air it out." Eli teased, and both Remus and Jackson turned to him in awe. "Jules says I need to make more jokes and start acting more playful before the pup comes." The Beta confirmed before he secured the mask over his face and dropped down below.
"W-h-i-p-p-e-d." Jackson spelled out in song as he followed close behind. "Yeah, keep singing Jack. Maybe when we have dinner over your house next time you'll know your mate's prayers—"
"Shut the fuck—" Remus jumped down to follow and growled at them both, and sure enough this was a movement disaster."How the hell did this get so bad?" Remus said, nicking his flashlight and walking down the hall—If anything, it looked like a second school with how it functioned.
But Randal Moon wasn't the only one who was paranoid and crazy, during the American wars, in an effort to protect everyone from human nuclear disaster—It was at that point the supernatural community was just going to let the humans kill themselves.
