index system: the index system is what gives ISVs their power each unit has their joker but the four inquisitors a full set of thirteen from king to ace with ace being their general go to inquisitors are actually named after the four retrospective cards (king, queen, jack, and ace renton is ace) and are known as the most elite
the index system itself is one of two things first it gives the machine an inherit ability dantalion's is known as the silent sacred swords symphony which are dozens of spectral swords that fly around the machine and the pilot can control at will

inquisitor units also have what are called invokers they are sentient almost human however they are completely one with a machine they count as the joker for the ISV units
