ADDY'S POV:
After one of the most exhausting weeks of my life, I've arrived at Saturday aka my first Track and Field match of the season. We had a soccer game last night and we won 10-7.
I'm in my track uniform standing on the track of the school that our meet is at. I'm stretching with my team while Coach Kyle is giving us last minute tips and instructions. First is Brittany and Amy's race. Then Carly and Bella. Then me and Abbie. While the other girls race, it's our job to watch and learn and cheer as loud as possible for them. There's twelve girls total per race so each duo of ours is going against ten other girls. Which means five other duos. This is an individual sport but we're racing two at a time. The older girls races are 2 miles while Abbie and I's will be 1.5 miles. By now, everyone who isn't in this race is off the tracks and standing on the sidelines cheering.
The fake gunshot rings out and the girls take off. They're going really fast. The only problem is that Brittany is in fifth and Amy is in seventh. The other girls, Coach Kyle and I cheer saying "Come on!!! You've got this!!! Go Brit! Go Amy!" Brit peddles to the medal and makes her way to third. Amy is almost neck and neck with her but she's in fourth. Amy pulls ahead of Brittany and Brittany tries to keep an even pace. The laps finish and Amy got first and Brittany got second! They walk up to us after they get their scores. I can tell that they're exhausted. We high-five them and we watch another race before Carly and Bella walk onto the track.
Their race is very close. Carly is in fifth while Bella is slaying it in second. Bella makes her way into first and holds on while Carly creeps her way to third. Then the race ends and we cheer wildly. They get their scores and we watch two races before Abbie and I race.
As I walk onto the track, I look at the stands and I see Lizzie, Scarlett, Rose, Florence, Brie, RDJ, Chris Evans, and both Tom's sitting there looking incognito. I wave and get ready to run. They wave back and I smile. Then I focus. Abbie and I stand next to each other and wait for the gunshot. The pistol sounds and we hightail down the track. I blaze my way into fifth while Abbie hits fourth. I use my special tactic as we get into the middle laps. Before I know it, we get to the final laps and I give it my all. I hear people screaming my name and that gives me some extra momentum and I get first. Abbie gets second. As we get our scores, I look at my family in the stands and they're cheering and clapping wildly. I notice that Abbie is looking at her family too. She has two little brothers and one older sister. After receiving our scores, we high-five and walk up to our team.
Coach Kyle and the girls congratulate us and we stand together as a team while we wait for trophies and medals to be announced. There were two races per category, so just because we got first in our race doesn't mean we won our category. You get a medal in fifth and fourth and for the top three, you get a medal and a trophy! We hold hands and wait for them to announce fifth place in Brittany and Amy's category. The announcer announces a name we don't recognize and we all smile. Same thing for fourth. At this point, we either got top three or didn't place. "In third place... Brittany McLaughlin!" says the announcer. We all cheer loudly as Brittany walks up to the podium to collect her trophy. She gets a medal placed around her neck and she stays there while second and first place are announced. We don't know the name in second place which means Amy got first. "In first place... Amy Wilder!" says the announcer. We all scream and cheer as Amy joins Brittany on the podium. Amy collects her trophy and she gets a medal placed around her neck. They both stay there as parents take pictures. Then they go back to our team. We high five them and hug them.
Then the second category which was Carly and Bella's category gets announced. We don't know the person in fifth. "In fourth place... Carly Pierce!" says the announcer. Carly is visibly disappointed but she shrugs it off and runs to the podium to get her medal. "I'm third place... Bella Maxwell!" says the announcer. We all cheer as Bella runs up to the podium and stands next to Carly. She gets her trophy and her medal. Photos are taken and the girl come back to us. We hug them and tell them great job.
Then Abbie and I hold each other's hands tighter as they announce fifth place of our category. Neither of us are fifth, fourth, or third. We look at each other concerned. We're thinking the same thing. We didn't place. "In second place... Abbie Cuthbertson!" says the announcer. Abbie looks at me in shock and I hug and congratulate her before she jets over to the podium. She gets a medal placed around her neck as she holds her trophy.
"In first place... Addy Olsen!" says the announcer. I stand where I am in shock until Brittany nudges me and I run up to the podium and stand next to Abbie. Someone hands me my trophy and I bow my head a little as the medal is placed around my neck. Abbie and I carefully high-five so as not to drop the trophies and we smile for pictures. I look at the stands and my fan club is going nuts!
LIZZIE'S POV:
Awards are in session and it's Addy's category. Her and her teammate Abbie aren't in fifth, fourth, or third. I'm worried that they didn't place. "In second place... Abbie Cuthbertson!" says the announcer. Abbie looks at Addy in shock and she hugs and congratulates her before Abbie jets over to the podium. "In first place... Addy Olsen!" says the announcer. I scream and cheer and clap for Addy. First place overall in her category!!! Go Addy!
Addy stands where she is in shock until Brittany nudges her and she runs up to the podium and stands next to Abbie. They high-five and smile for pictures. I'm taking a million pictures per second and so is the rest of the Marvel cast. Pictures are over and they walk back to their team.
ADDY'S POV:
We get back to our team and set down our trophies while our teammates hug us. Brittany and Carly lift me up and Amy and Bella lift Abbie up. We're all laughing as Coach Kyle says "Great job girls! Just do me a favor and don't drop the superstars!" The older girls set us down and we all make our way to our families. My family is already out of the stands waiting for me. I get to them as quickly as possible without dropping my trophy. Chris Evans takes the trophy from me so everyone can hug me. RDJ lifts me up and spins me around and the girls gush over how fast I was. Lizzie hugs me and kisses my head and same with Scarlett. Rose hugs me and congratulates me before holding her mom's hand again. I smile and take a bow. The boys high-five me and Chris Evans messes my hair up but I don't care one bit. "Thanks everyone for coming!" I say. "Our pleasure!" chimes everyone in sync. I smile and say "I'll be right back."
They all nod and I walk over to Coach Kyle and I thank him and I congratulate my teammates. I save Abbie, aka my best friend for last. I walk over to her and her family and I hug her from behind and she says "Hi, Addy!" "How'd you know it's me?" I ask. "You do this to me all the time, silly!" says Abbie. "True!" I say. We laugh as we talk about the funny moments from the meet. Then her family tells Abbie that it's time to go. "See you Monday!" says Abbie and I in sync. We wave to each other and I race over to my family.
I can't believe it! This is my life now! I'm Elizabeth Olsen's daughter and the Marvel cast are my family. I'm on my school's track and field team and my school's soccer team! I made a new best friend and a few other friends too! I really am living my best life here in LA! I wouldn't trade my life for anything!
