Self-proclaimed as a writer,
I put pen to paper,
that's what writers do, right?
I mean, for the most part.
Thoughts jotted
Words wielded
Synonyms, similes, and clever phrases
I'm a writer
The more I write, the more there is to read
Every day! New tomes. New words combined
New works created!
And who will read mine?
You are reading
Or you're hearing it
So I must matter to you
Should I thank you?
Thank you.
Or just acknowledge the fact that these are words
Ideas, on a page, written down
And ready for a reader to read
For I am a writer
That's what I do
For the most part.
