As I reached the gates of Arisugawa Academy, I pulled out my earbuds and looked for one of the sisters who had been nearby, keeping an eye for my arrival. When I saw her, I waved and began to walk towards her.
"I'm here, Aunt Shinonome." I said
"Hello Y/n." She said "Thanks for coming."I shrugged and said "It's no big deal. So what do you need me to do?"
While I rarely got to see my Aunt before, two years ago, after I lost my mother, my Aunt began to try and get in contact with me more, having me occasionally help her take care of things they need taken out of storage for one reason or another. I doubt she really needs me to do this stuff, but I guess this is just her way of making sure I stay out of trouble or something.
"With the holidays having come to an end, I was hoping you'd help carry the decorations back to storage." she said
"Alright, just tell me where they are and I can get to work." I said
Aunt Shinonome guided me through Arisugawa to where the boxed decorations were and said "If you'll take care of bringing them to the storage shed, I'll meet you there and will put them in their correct place."
I stretched out and said "Sounds like a plan before I grabbed a couple of smaller boxes and walked alongside her towards the shed, where I put down what I held and headed back to grab more.
After a couple of trips, as I took a particularly cumbersome box, I heard a sound behind me, but as I was a bit preoccupied, I shrugged it off.
At least I was going to until I heard somebody behind me say "Excuse me, you dropped this."
I turned to face the person who was speaking to me and saw a girl with pink hair, and eyes that were a darker shade of pink, who was holding my phone. I guess it fell out of my jacket or something. "Ah, thanks. I can't really go and put it in my pocket right now, so could you put it on top of the box?"
The girl gently put my phone on top of the box and said "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are you doing?"
"Me? I was asked to come by and help take the boxed decorations to the storage shed." I said
"Oh? By who?" she asked
"My aunt, she's one of the sisters." I said "Sister Shinonome is probably what you'll know her by."
"I see, I didn't know that she had a sibling." she said
"Yeah, she had a sister." I said "I'm Y/n L/n, it's nice to meet you."
"I'm Miyu Sakurada. It's a pleasure to meet you too." she replied
"Well then Sakurada, sorry if this is weird or anything, but you look like you're the same age as me. Are you in your first year of high school too?" I said
"That's right." Sakurada said
I tried to talk to her for a little bit longer before we eventually reached the shed.
"I'll let you return to what you were doing in peace." Sakurada said
"Hey, it was nice to talk to you." I said
As she left, I shrugged off the conversation, figuring the only reason that encounter happened was out of politeness.
I continued to take care of the boxes until I eventually finished, earning me a thanks before I head back home.

As I wandered around the shopping district, I let my eyes wander around to look out at the people around me. Everyone lives a life suited to their needs, and while I'm not too fond of the way this tends to hurt others, I can't help but admit that I do find them interesting. I can't help but wonder what exactly it is that drives them.
As I looked out at the people around us, I saw somebody that seemed familiar, seeming to be a bit nervous to keep walking. I realized it was Sakurada, and curious as to what's wrong, I approached her "Hey there, is everything alright?"
She looked at me and said "L/n, right? It's just that I'm too scared to get past that big dog..."
I looked where she pointed and saw a rottweiler, on a leash and watching people go by. "That guy? I bet he's a softie despite his appearance, but if it'd make you feel better, I can walk between you and it." I said
"That'd be helpful, thanks." Sakurada said
"No problem." I said "So I take it you aren't good with dogs?"
"I'm okay with little ones, but big ones like that are a little scary to me." Sakurada said
"I guess I can see why somebody would feel like that, but the way I see it is that they're only worth being scared of if they were raised in a way where they didn't get the love they deserved." I said"I guess that's true." Sakurada said
"So in any case, what were you up to?" I asked
"I thought it'd be nice to get some fresh air and look at some stores." Sakurada said "What about you?"
"Eh, I don't really have anything going on so I figured I'd go out and try to find something to do." I said
The two of us continued to talk for a while longer before Sakurada noticed an old woman nearby. "It seems like she might need help, I'm going to go talk to her." Sakurada said before she increased her pace to get to the lady a bit quicker.
As I walked over to join them, I saw her talk to the lady before taking some of the lady's bags. "So what's up?" I asked
"She just was having trouble carrying all of her bags to the train station where she's going to be meeting with her grandchild." Sakurada explained
I looked at the bags that Miyu was holding and said "If you two will hand some to me, I'll take care of a good chunk."
"Thank you" the lady said
"Hey, I'm not great but I can at least say I'm decently fit and make a decent packmule." I said, joking as I took a majority of the bags
Eventually we reached the station, and as the lady walked to her grandson, it started to dawn on me that Sakurada didn't really have a reason to go out of her way to help the lady besides that she wanted to help. I can't help but find it hard to believe in the sincerity of people, but Sakurada at the very least seems like a good person.
"Thanks for your help with that L/n." Sakurada said
"It's nothing." I said
"Um, I need to be going soon, but the DJ unit I'm a part of plays nearby, and it'd be great if you'd come watch us sometime." Sakurada said, writing down the location on a piece of scrap paper and handing it to me.
"Right, I'll come check it out some time." I said. I didn't really expect her to be in something like a DJ unit, but I guess I'm not as good of a judge of people as I like to think.
"Alright, now I'll be heading home, goodbye L/n" Sakurada said
"See you another time." I said as she left.
As she began to walk away, I stretched and through a yawn said "Maybe I should grab some stuff for dinner so I don't have to worry about figuring it out later."
I then began to brainstorm dinner as I walked, my mind returning to my encounter with Miyu Sakurada today. Along with seeming pretty cute, she seems interesting, and I hope to talk to her more in the future.

A/n: Say hello to my new fic. I like D4DJ quite a bit, and so it was in inevitability that I write a full story about one of the characters. Up until a week and a half ago, I was still trying to decide whether my first one would be Miyu or Rika. But in the end I've made my decision based on the kind of things I want to make of this first story and I hope you'll enjoy it
