a lot of ways to love you, teach me through your eyes by Agido6

Summary:

All the little ways that Jihyo falls for Mina every day.

There were certain ways, as Jihyo grew to learn, that Myoui Mina needed to be loved.

It was in subtle things at first, manners that Jihyo didn't pick up on right away because they were still new at this cohabitation thing, this holy shit I'm so infatuated with you it kind of drives me insane thing. She noticed it one night upon arriving home from work, worn out and looking forward to nothing more than her cool, soft sheets and listening to Mina ramble about her day.

But when Jihyo walked into their apartment, discarding her jacket and shoes at once, Mina was sitting on the living room floor, chin propped up on one hand and a deep crease in her forehead with Lego pieces scattered around her. What looked like the makings of a pirate ship sat in front of Mina's crossed legs.

"Hey, baby." Jihyo said drowsily, leaving her purse on the counter and coming over to kiss the top of Mina's head. "Have you been at that all night?"

"Just for the past couple of hours." Mina answered, clicking another piece in place and humming with satisfaction. "I made dinner. Some of it's on the table for you. And there's something I picked up earlier in the bedroom, I put it on your pillow."

Jihyo tilted Mina's face to the side with her fingertip, grinning as Mina peered up with adorably confused eyes until Jihyo kissed her, brushing her thumb over Mina's cheek and cherishing the squishy little smile that broke free.

"Thanks, babe."

Jihyo did peek into their room, seeing a Lego flower bouquet on the pillow, tied neatly with a red bow, and smiled to herself, walking back out to warm up a plate of whatever Mina cooked. She didn't notice the way Mina glanced at her hopefully as she sat down, the delicate confusion and flash of uncertainty as Jihyo flicked on the TV, flipping absently through channels but finding nothing of interest.

However, when she'd put her dishes away and sat on the floor beside Mina, wrapping her arms around Mina's waist and resting her chin on Mina's shoulder, Jihyo definitely noticed the tension in her muscles.

"Something wrong?"

"No." Mina mumbled. She snapped a tiny grey piece to the top of her ship, poking out as a little flag.

Jihyo frowned. "You got all quiet..."

"It's nothing."

What did I do? Jihyo wondered. What happened since I came home?

She looked between the ship that Mina was still moodily building, to the jutting of Mina's bottom lip, and the lightbulb went on over her head.

Mina loves giving gifts. She loves doing things for me.

"I saw the set on my pillow, Minari." Jihyo said conversationally, nuzzling into Mina's neck and pressing a soft kiss there.

Mina paused in her motions. "You did?"

The smallness of her voice inflated Jihyo's heart tenfold. How she absolutely adored this girl.

"I think it's lovely. You're always so thoughtful." Jihyo kissed her temple. "You spoil me, really."

She watched contentedly as Mina's cheeks flared a delicate pink, a tiny huff leaving her mouth as she began building the skull and crossbones for the flag. "You deserve to be spoiled..."
