I set my cocktail down, as I laugh at the jokes being made at the table. We all decided to eat at a bar that does pizza, and I've been having a really good time, despite the rest of the events of the day.

Maya pulls Robert to his feet, begging him to dance with her. When they leave, I turn to Dacre.

"Where's Chloe gone?" I ask him.

He lifts his head up and looks around the bar.

"I'm not sure, she said she was going to see if she can find a girl to hook up with tonight," He says to me.

I raise my eyebrows.

"Wait..." I say, realising.

"Yeah, she's gay. I told you she wasn't my date," He licks his lips as he laughs at me.

I laugh, a little embarrassed for assuming. I look over at Maya and Robert dancing together and smile.

"They're good together," Dacre says.

I nod agreeing.

"Yeah I thought he'd never get ov-" I realise who I'm talking to and stop speaking.

Dacre laughs.

"It's okay, I know. He told me," He says.

My eyebrows lift in surprise, and I lean in a bit closer.

"He did?" I ask quietly.

Dacre smiles.

"Yeah, at the dinner party. He was telling me about how he liked Maya, but that you and her think he still liked me and he didn't know what to do. I was telling him to tell her, when Maya announced you two are together," He tells me.

"Oh my god," I exclaim.

Dacre nods.

"I like to think I'm why they got together," He says proudly.

I roll my eyes.

"Like they didn't bond over their love for me or anything," I say, joking.

"Well a lot of us bond over that," Dacre says with a smile, and I nudge him.

Natalia comes up behind us, and puts her hands on our shoulders.

"Come dance with us guys!" She demands.

I am almost certain she's either drunk, or very close. Dacre looks at me.

"Want to dance?" He asks.

"Sure," I say, following him onto the dance floor.

The song Weak, by Wet starts playing and we both start to move and dance. As I'm getting into the rhythm, Dacre grabs my hand and pulls me closer to him.

I look up at his face, as he smiles down at me. His eyes are so pretty, why hadn't I ever really noticed them before?

"Can I ask you something?" Dacre asks me.

I swallow as I nod.

"What was that, with Maya. Why did she say you two were together at the dinner party?" He asks.

"Oh! Um. I guess, things had been getting weird with Joe, and Maya thought it would make Gemma feel better, and make things better with Joe if they both thought I was in a relationship," I explain to him, but as I say it, I know it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Dacre laughs as we dance.

"Didn't really work that way, did it?" He says.

I shake my head.
