I run my hand through my hair, as I check the time again on my phone. My leg starts to shake as I tap my foot.

Maya puts her hand on my leg and I stop.

"It's okay, you'll be on the plane soon," She says soothingly.

I give her a hug and turn to Robert.

"You ready?" I ask him.

"Yup! Are you sure you didn't want the rest of the gang to come see us off?" He asks me.

I shake my head.

"If they came, Joe would come. I'm just not ready for that right now. Besides we'll be back in a few days," I say to him.

Robert nods slowly, I'm guessing not sure what to say. Whatever it is that's happening between Joe and I seems to be a constant topic these days, I'm sure my friends are tired of it.

"I'll miss you guys," Maya pouts.

"We'll miss you too Maya," I tell her, giving her another hug.

Our flight number is called for boarding, and Robert and I hug Maya goodbye. I move to the line while Robert and Maya kiss and say goodbye, wanting to give them privacy.

My phone dings with a message.

Joe
Have a safe flight. I'm thinking of you x

"Let's do this," Robert says as he joins me in the line for the plane.

I put my phone away without replying.

Once we are on the plane in our seats, I pull my phone out again and look at the message from Joe.

"Are you going to reply?" Robert asks me.

I turn to face him.

"I don't know," I say.

"What happened with you two? I thought when you left with him the other day, you might be friends again," He asks me.

I bite my lip.

"Charlee... What is it?" Robert asks suspiciously.

"He stayed the night," I say, biting my lip again.

Roberts mouth drops open in surprise.

"You mean you two finally-" Robert starts to ask before I cut him off.

"No! We literally just slept. Yes in the same bed, but fully clothed. Nothing else happened," I explain to him quickly, before he can finish his sentence.

Robert chews on his tongue as he thinks, before letting out a laugh and shaking his head.

"You two are so confusing," He says finally.

"I'm just as confused as anyone," I say with a pout.

I throw my head back against my seat and let out a sigh.

"But you two have talked about it right?" Robert asks.

"That's the problem! We've never talked about what there is between us, or how we feel. It's like this unspoken thing. The closest we got was when he stayed," I say.

"What did you say to him?" He asks me.

"I told him that we need to put the "no touch" policy back in place," I say.

Robert nods slowly, waiting for me to keep going.

"He told me to stop pressing my lips together. I told him to stop running his hands through his hair, and then he told me I'm beautiful," I say to Robert, looking over at him wondering what he'll say.
