Was it fair that Eliana didn't want to play dress up and dance? That she didn't want to participate in such a ridiculous dance that her class are so eager to join? Rosalie assured her that it is fair and was willing to accompany her instead of going as well. They were both graduating and yet only one of them were excited since the other had done this countless of times. It must've been depressing to go to high school over and over again. Eliana can't imagine why they would want to repeat such an awful education system.
"To blend in." Edward muses from her right.
"Don't read my thoughts." Eliana snaps, glaring at him.
It took a lot of convincing for Eliana to visit the Cullen home. Even Alice had to get involved, barging in Eliana's home like it was hers and could swore she broke the door's hinges. It was a good thing she came when Chief Swan was at work. Eliana was rather occupied in gathering the photos Angela asked her to gather before she jumped from her bed to see a raging Alice Cullen, telling her to get up so they can go to Esme.
Rosalie sinks on the empty space of the couch besides Eliana, the familiar weight of the camera on her hands while she looks over the full memory card. There were pictures where Rosalie would cringe because there were wolves in it. Rosalie didn't know if she should tell Eliana that her friends were also hiding a very large secret. Maybe someday, the truth will come out.
"You're thoughts are pretty loud." Edward was quick to defend himself.
"You'll get used to it." Emmett chirps from a couch, not far from the human.
"Did you get use to it?"
"No." Emmett and Eliana share a look, both of them chuckling in their seats. "Who visits and decided to do schoolworks rather than hang out with us."
"I am multitasking. Plus, Alice has me on a tight leash." Eliana mumbles the last part, leaning over the coffee table and grabbing her math assignments.
"Yeah I do!" Alice calls from the kitchen.
It was as if it's normal. Just a mere human in a house full of vampires, doing homework and forcing Emmett to help. Eliana has moved on from the Cullens making her look dumb. Though it was still there, she cannot stay angry for some reason.
Rosalie would steal glances of Eliana who would laugh softly over the stupidest things Emmett would say. It would lead Edward to bring up a smirk over her thoughts and Rosalie glaring at him by his smug ever look. Edward tried to convince his adoptive sister to tell Eliana of their connection. That she was her mate.
