The Outsiders- Dally's Little sister Trin-Winston

the next day /The Great Escape

Trin's POV
I wake up I still don't know what time it is but it has to be Morrin' by now  so I only need to make it through a few more hours probably . I should just try to go back to sleep again untill Dally shows up since there isn't much to do in confinement anyway . I try to fall back asleep but then a guard comes in and gives me breakfast and unhandcuffs me so I can eat  I finish eating the breakfast and the guard comes back in takes the tray and re handcuffs me I am really sick of these stupid handcuffs geez , now I'm gonna try to fall back asleep I close my eyes and drift off .

Dally's POV
It's about eleven thrity AM I'm gonna eat some breakfast and then I'm gonna go pick up Trin . I pour some cereal into a bowl and get a spoon then I eat the cereal I fill up a glass with water drink it then I grab the car key from the table in the hall then I unlock the car and start the engine And I begin the two hour drive to the reformatory so I should be there around one pm . 

Trin's POV
I wake up again I can not sleep so I sit up and just stare at the wall I am so bored and anxious but I try to calm down because I know Dally will be here soon it has to be at least mid Morrin' by now he is probably on his way here  so I just try to breathe and remind myself the room is not getting smaller and that I'm okay I have no clue how long I've been staring at this wall but  it seems  like forever

Dally's POV
I am still drivin' to the school I'm about a half an hour away . I start to drive a little faster so I can get her outta there so I merge onto the highway finally I turn onto the road the reformatory boarding school is at then I pull into the parking lot , I need to figure out how to get her outta there because I'm not letting the school know because they will probably argue against it and bring in legal matters and blah blah blah . So when no one is in sight I get outta the car and I climb over the gate since it's locked , I then see a guard and I duck down and look into the window there is no one in the lobby right now so I pry the window open and sneak inside the school , now I just need to figure out which room my sister is stuck in. I start walking down the hallway and see a bunch of smaller rooms with steal doors I know those are the confinement rooms but I have no clue which one Trin is in . So then I sneak back into the hall and since no one is in the office I sneak in and go through the files and I find a folder labeled "rooms" I go through it and find the room number my sister is in then I put the folder back down and run back into the hallway and Try to open the door but I don't have the key I run back into the office and grab a set of keys of the counter and hope those will work , I run back into the hallway and go to room 202 and I put the key in the door lock and it works but then I see a gaurds coming so I quickly run in the room and close the door  before they saw anything

Trin's POV
I see that Dally unlocked the door and I'm so happy he was gonna get me outta here he had to sneak into the room and close the door but it's okay since he has the keys . "Dally your here thank God"
Dally's POV
"Yeah but don't say anything to the gaurds about this and be as quiet as possible cause we can't get caught breaking you outta here alright ?"
Trin's POV
I nod "yep I got it" I am so excited that I'm finally gonna get out of this hell hole .  "Also can you get off these handcuffs please my arms are so sore"

Dally's POV
I just now notice that she has handcuffs since she mentioned it I grab the keys again and insert on into the hole in the handcuffs it works and I pull them off of her and put them down . Then I walk back over to the door  insert the key again and peer outside there are luckily no guards in the hall now so we have to get movin' . "Alright let's go follow me " I start running  out of there .
Trin's POV
I start to run after Dally as fast as I can I fall a few times since I haven't moved much in the last few days cause of confinement  I was also sore because I couldn't move to much in there then Dally helps me up and grabs my  hand so I don't fall and starts running again  he spins in a circle while running a few times to make sure there is no one behind us , running in circles is actually kinda fun .
Dally's POV
We reach the exist/entrance door and I put the key in and it opens again and we both run into the parking lot  expect the problem is my car is on the opposite side of the parking lot I let go of Trin's hand now that we don't have to run , I see a gaurd and I quickly duck down  and motion for Trin to do the same . Then I here the gaurds talking they are saying "Trin Winston is not in her room she has gone missing we need to conduct a search and check all around this building and outside of it and check the rest of the town to. The gaurds are getting closer so we moved further away and then I see a big  recycling bin "Trin let's go hide behind there they are probably not gonna check behind there" I run over to it and duck behind it  I can still see where the gaurds are at so that's good.
Trin's POV
I shortly run behind the recycling bin  so I'm out of site of the gaurds so Dally and I have an advantage we can see the gaurds but they can't see us so we just need to hide untill whenever the search haults .
Dally's POV
We continue to hid and it feels like we've been here for a while  and I here the gaurds say "alright we will search for another fifteen minutes then we just give up because we have been searching for  an hour and forty minutes and after a two hour search we can stop" so we still have to hide for at least another half hour the gaurds are getting closer I can hear  them much more clearly so I motion for Trin to stay quiet .
Trins POV
I start to feel a little anxious with how close they are but I just stay quiet  and let the adrenaline pump through me I'm a bit  scared but it's fun at the same time . The gaurds finally leave the area then they walk around to the side of the school it has to have been at least fifteen minutes more and I'm right because I hear the gaurds say "alright time to call it off for eight now we'll try again tomorrow" the gaurds head back inside and I breathe  with relief.
Dally's POV
"Alright let's go we are going to be going around the back since there are no windows there so the gaurds can't see you escaping and me breaking you out so just follow me". I begin running around the building to the back I pull my car keys outta my pocket and unlock it .
Trin's POV
I follow Dally to the back of the building and into the parking lot and  he unlocks the car and opens his door and gets in fast , I follow his lead and pretty much jump into the car and close the door , Dally then starts   driving back home.  I'm so grateful when we get back home and just to  be back home feels so great  and I'm tired so I walk back into my room and go to sleep it feels so good to be in my own bed again .
