Part 17

Two weeks have gone by and Daphne is home on the living room couch at the Kennishes.

"How are you honey??" Katherine asked about every 10 minutes.

"Im good." Daphne would reply, getting slightly impatient, but understanding that her mother just was trying her best.

Occasionally, Daphne would develop a serious headache from the overdose, and Katherine would make her chug 3 bottles of water, and the dilute pill, that thins the liquid out to make it pass by easier.

At Carlton, Melody was up researching on her computer about domestic violence. Since she is the guidence counselor, she should know about the topic, but she needed to prove a point.

About 2 months back, principal Rose was tipsy and complained of having bruises from her husband hitting her. This concerned Melody, but she let it go until she heard something more about it. Three days prior, Principal Rose walked into school with a bruise on her head that was clearly swelling. Out of curiosity, Melody asked her what it was, and a ludicrous, but this time sober answer came.

She said,
"Oh my husband and i got into a fuss and he accidentally hit me with a chair."

Melody was shocked, but promised she wouldnt tell anybody. Researching domestic violence was probably the best thing to do so she could get a good idea on why this would happen to Principal Rose.
