I hear a loud sound loiter in the air. I look beside me and find Kelvin lying on the floor. I look forward and spot the girl that was calling him earlier. Her gaze meets mine and I have this sudden urge to hate her. She did something to him. I look behind her and find a lamp. I steady my breathing and concentrate. I close my eyes and quickly reopen them finding the lamp just above the girls head. My body is tense. The second I relax the lamp will fall causing the girl to collapse just as Kelvin did. I felt this strong burning hatred for her. The hate inside was possibly radiating from me. As if I could almost pick it out from the air surrounding me. What I haven't realized is that multiple lamps were now enclosing on her. I slowly take a look at the people around me. All eyes were on me. I sent all the lamps flying back. They all smash against the wall. The lamps created fragments of shattered glass powder that sprinkled the ground. To me it looked like it snowed different colors inside of the building. I then looked back at Kelvin, who was still on the ground. No movement came from him. I fell to my knees and cradled his head in my arms. A tear slipped out of my eye, followed by another, and another. I slide my fingers through his dark hair crying silently. When I look up everyone is still staring at me. They looked astonished. I didn't know whether it was because I had just attempted to kill a girl I have never even met, or if it was because of me being a little over dramatic.
Over my shoulder I see two guards headed in my direction. Inching closer and closer with every passing second. Mr. Dun appears in front of me and Kelvin.
"I will now personally show you to your rooms," he said, with a harsh tone.
The guards ordered for me to get up. When I didn't get up, one of them took my arm and forcibly and pulled me up. The other picked Kelvin up and tossed him over his shoulder. When we left the large lobby, I could tell everyone was still silent. There was no chatter, or gossiping, or even a voice telling people to leave. There was just complete silence.
*****
We entered a large hallway with doors to each side of me. Door after door after door. We walked for what seemed like hours on end. It may have looked humongous on the outside but surely it wasn't this big. Then finally Mr. Dun came to a stop by a very dull looking door. This door was plain white. Nothing special. It had a bronze door knob, which I assumed use to be gold. When I looked up higher, numbers started appearing. Slowly arranging themselves until it halted at the number 237. It turned from plain white into a lustrous silver. This to me was odd. The first digit of the rooms around me were 5. 545,546,547, etc. Plus they were an array of colors. All of them as unique as can be. One with swirls. Another with flames. All different designs. Then there was our door. All plain and white. With a bronze knob and silver numbers neatly arranged on it. Mr. Dun gave me a key card to open the door. Which wasn't exactly what I expected, since the whole school seemed so advanced in technology. They have robotic maids for God's sake.Just like the numbers, a slot for the card appeared out of nowhere. I slipped the card in the slot and quickly removed it. A little light flashed green, and a clicking noise followed. I turned the bronze doorknob, and pushed the door open. I stood there for a second looking at the area. It was.... Beautiful. It seemed more like a large apartment than a room. There was a lounge area where couches and a flat screen T.V were set up. Then there was a kitchen area, which was a pretty sufficient size. The dinning area was possibly the smallest area out of everything, but still bigger than my dinning area at home.
The large guard who was carrying Kelvin pushed past me and into one of the two bedrooms.I snapped out of my trance and remembered Kelvin was still unconscious. I walked into the room the guard decided to put him in and watched as he carefully placed him on the bed. The guard once again pushed past me and went out the door. I just stood there observing Kelvin for a second, willing him to wake up with my eyes. When that didn't work, I grabbed a chair in the room and put it beside the bed and sat down. I was suddenly hit by a wave of this tired feeling. I realized that I didn't get much sleep.
"Maybe just a few minutes will be fine. He's not gonna wake up in a few minutes," I said out loud to no one in particular. I then closed my eyes and dozed off.----------------------------------------
