xi. 夢

It had now been seven months since the last time he'd seen Maeve. Part of him still felt the pain of him having had to let go of the one he'd loved for so many years. But as he watched his closest friend competing for the unknown price, he realised that he'll eventually be okay. It might take time and it won't be easy but it'll happen at its own pace.

"Okay. Let's do rock, paper, scissor. Whoever wins gets the price." Hoseok suggests and they all agree. "Okay. Rock, paper, scissors."

As soon as he outers the last word they all reveal their choice, making Jin, Namjoon and Taehyung cry out in loss as they showed paper while the others showed scissors. The ones still competing start to feel nervous as the start being less players.

"Rock. Paper. Scissors." Jimin gasps as he does paper and the others do rock. As soon as he's over the shock he starts cheering while the others grumble amongst themselves.

"I hope the price is something really bad." Jungkook says teasingly with a cheeky grin, making Jimin hit him with a pout.

"Stop being such a sore loser." Jimin huffs, before his pout is replaced with a grin as the staff hands him the price. Everyone gathers around to see what Jimin won as he unwraps the box. His grin widens even more as he takes out the gift card. "This is for my favourite restaurant."

"That's a lot. With that amount of money in food you'll never be able to finish it alone. You should invite us." Yoongi says making Jungkook nod in agreement.

"With that you're able to get dinner with two other people for free." The staff says from behind the cameras, making Jimin look down at the gift card.

"You should take me. I'm your best friend." Taehyung as he stands in front of Jimin who looks up in amusement.

"I'll do aegyo for you." Jin says with a pout, making Jimin's eyes spark in interest.

"Do it." Jimin says challengingly, but immediately regrets it and cringes as he watches Jin act cute. Jungkook starts laughing so much he falls to the floor, while Yoongi silently judges the oldest member. "Stop. That's enough. You're not coming."

"Hey! What is this disrespect?" Jin exclaims, making Jimin laugh as he starts acting overly dramatic.

"I'll decide who will come with me the day I go." Jimin says firmly, making them all groan in complaint.

"Just so you know, you're my favourite." Jungkook says as he wraps an arm around Jimin's shoulder. "You're by far the best one of us all."

"Ah, thank you. Thank you. I already know that." Jimin jokes, making Jungkook shove him with his nose scrunched up.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asks as he walks up to Jimin, who looks up.

"No. But I'll be okay." Jimin answers softly, making Jungkook smile softly and nod in understanding.

"Do you want to go out and eat something maybe?" He asks, making Jimin pout in thought. "I'll pay."

"Will you really?" Jimin asks in disbelief, making Jungkook nod.

"Pay back for that time you took me for dinner when you won the free dinner for three." Jungkook says, making Jimin chuckle at the memory and nod in acceptance.
