You look up and see a young boy standing in front of you. You recognize him, but cant think of a name. " y/n? Is that you". It finally clicked. " omg Lando, i havent seen you for so long". You always went to the kart races when you were little, Max and Lando raced together at the time. So you have known him for ever. He changed, in a good way. "Are you here to support Max?". "Actually i am, but not only this race, im staying the whole season". You see someone coming from behind you in the corner of your eye. He gives Lando a fist bump and then looks your way. " so Lando, are you not going to introduce me to your girlfriend?". You get kind of awkward about the situation and start to look around. " really funny Daniel, this is y/n. We have known eachother for ages, but the contact stopped somehow." Daniel looks at you and shakes your hand. " you have a familiar face? Do i know you?". " I don't think we've already met, I'm y/n Verstappen Max his little sister". Daniel his eyes widen. " I did not know Max had a sister. He is my best friend how can i not know?". You explain that you went to study in the Netherlands so you have been off the radar for four years. Lando looks at you and smiles. " do you have some where to go y/n?". " I actually went to search for some coffee, i could use one". " well, at mclaren i could get you any coffee you want, are you in?". You hesitate for a second. " well, i don't think Max would appreciate it if i would just leave with someone". " i promise to get you back here in 15 minutes!". A smile appears on your face. " 15 minutes is al you got mr Norris". You two go to the Mclaren motorhome and drink some coffee, he tells you everything you've missed. How he became a formula one driver, how his parents are and what he does in his free time. " where have you been y/n?". He asks. You feel uncomfortable to tell him that you loved him since you were kids, and when he got a girlfriend you avoided the races. So you decide to just stick with your usual answer. " well, i could not handle school and f1 at the same time. It was a lot to deal with". Lando looks you in the eyes. " are you sure that is the only reason?". You nod and quickly take your last sip. " Lando it was fun, but i really have to go, i don't want Max to be worried". " should i walk you back?" Lando asks. " no thankyou, i can find my way out. Bye Lando!". You give him a hug and leave the mclaren motor home.
