Mayako's POV:
I was pretty upset that getting into the delinquent gang was ruined for me, but I think of it as a blessing in disguise for me and Hanako. After seeing what Dai had to deal with, I didn't want to be treated like that at all, no matter how cool it was. When I stayed at the Yamada house last night, Hanako did bring up some good points.
Lunch:
"While I'm bummed I kind of ruined our chances of getting in, I'm really glad that Dai understands she can be in a much better environment than that. She deserves to be around a group who have her best interest at heart anyways. The only person who seemed to even give a fuck was Lime really." Hanako said, almost relieved.
I nodded.
"You didn't ruin anything Hana, you stuck up for your brother. I would've done the same thing if Soro happened to be talking shit about Daishi and she wasn't in their gang. Did you ever tell him why it didn't work out?"
Hanako looked down and nodded.
"He said it was good that I stuck up for him and that I stood my ground and that he was proud of me, but he was upset 'cause something could've happened way worse than Dai just quitting. He knows her and Lime would've protected us but, he said it could have went so many ways. He wasn't wrong. It made me think that we should explore things we're destined to do and are capable of. We did just get enrolled here. We shouldn't start off on the wrong foot with a bad reputation like the new recruits. We're better than that. And I know you like that girl but don't get involved being in that gang just to be with her, if she really likes you like she says and shows, she'll understand why you don't want to join, and would want you to choose different paths for yourself."
I knew she was right. I just started out at Akademi. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew by just joining the delinquents just 'cause they wear masks and carry weapons. I wanted to do something more than that.
I saw Miasaka and I ran to her and hugged her. Hanako walked off towards the building, smiling.
"Missed me?" She asked.
I replied with an "I did" and pecked her lips.
Daishi and Ayano happened to walk right up to see what I was doing.
"Ayano, I'll see you in class I need to have a word with little miss right here."
Ayano nodded, heading off to class.
"You, go to class. I need to talk to Miasaka."
Miasaka gulped and Daishi assured her it was nothing bad.
I did what I was told and blew a kiss at Miasaka before catching up with Hanako.
"What do you think she wants to talk to Miasaka about?" Hanako asked curiously.
I shrugged.
"Still be careful though Maya. She is still a delinquent at the end of the day."
I nodded and we went off to walk around the school.
Daishi's POV:
Daishi looked at Miasaka up and down. And while Mia wasn't trying to stare too far into her eyes, she was scared Daishi would do something.
"You know, being though you're a new recruit, you don't have to be scared of the higher ups, they aren't shit."
Miasaka looked confused.
