Chapter 21-Events Collide

The ground shatters around the two as they collide. Salas pressing against Kyako who has his guard up. Neither budging from their spots. 

Salas's eyes brighten as he grows ecstatic at the development.

Soon enough Salas swings his right leg upwards connecting it to Kyako's chin, sending him into a backflip. As Kyako flips backward, Salas pulls back for another attack, and the moment Salas's eyes meet his back, he delivers a powerful drive into it, launching him away and through the entire grasslands biome and into a mountain area. As Kyako breaks through multiple mountains his momentum is stopped as he lodges within a small cave. 

His aura lights the area as he stands up. Spikes hanging from the ceiling.

"Best be careful in here, don't wanna lose an eye."

"Kyako!! Where did you go!! Are you finished already?!" Salas screams as he approaches Kyako's location.

"Crap... He's coming, wait..." Kyako begins examining the spikes and comes up with a plan. 

Moments later Salas bursts into the dark cave in hopes of finding Kyako inside it. But instead, he found nothing but darkness.

"Kyako come now! You can't keep hiding! You know It's less fun that way!" Salas slowly treads the cave unsure of whats to cover. As he steps further in a faint light awakens blow his left foot.

"Ah-ha!" Salas punches the ground and attempts to grab something, however, while he was distracted an explosion from above commenced. Causing the ceiling spikes to begin to fall onto Salas. As the cave begins to collapse, Salas is seen slightly breaking the jagged spikes with his left forearm. Swiping back and forth to prevent being stabbed. In a moment to escape Kyako zooms past him and busts out of the collapsing cave. Turning to watch it cave in on him.

"Wow... That plan worked." Kyako had a moment to breathe as Salas was under rubble. 

What he didn't expect was Salas to appear above him with a spike in hand. 

"Your tactics will need to be a lot stronger to beat me!"

Salas launches the spike point-blank at Kyako and in an effort to dodge, Kyako fell right into the hands of Salas. 

"Oblivion Seeker!"

Salas's hands were held out as Kyako lined up with them. Allowing him to unleash an orange two-handed energy wave that immediately consumed Kyako's body. His silhouette within the blast is carried away into the ground below and as the explosion takes form, the dust covers up the scene. 

Back in Westfall city, Cassa is hiding at the park while Crimson and Okara have yet to move from the metro. 

"This can't be real, they couldn't have done that. They never!" Cassa was confused her mind swelling with anxiety and horrible thoughts that she's going to die at the hands of her husband. Yet her determination mixes with those feelings making her a bit courageous.

"I-I won't fall to my husband or Crimson I'll fight them! I'll win!"

Suddenly Cassa is transported to a familiar location in front of her was the Topaz once again. 

"The power of the topaz will help you win against your corrupted husband and his friend."

The voice filled her mind as her black eyes turned blue. 

"Go now take the topaz merge with it and gain the power to beat them. You're the only one who can... It's your destiny after all Cassandra."

Her mind was blank yet her determination took over. She reached for the topaz and once again grasped hold of it. This time no jolt was sent through her as the topaz had recognized her touch. From behind her was the evil angel Astrid holding up the Lyrx sapphire, using it to control Cassa's mind and body.

"Yes now feel it, let it take hold of your body and infest within you. Let the biomass take hold and create the infection I've been seeking!"

The word that was implemented within her mind has been said, and now the corruption has truly begun as the topaz began to merge with its new host. As it merges with Cassa the lyrx disease begins to form around her body. Black tendrils cocoon around her and along the ground. Planting into anything nearby. Spreading at a slow rate, yet the process has begun and it's unknown if it can be stopped. As Cassa is contained within the cocoon the black tendrils begin to glow yellow like veins throughout the vines. The brightest spot was from the center of it all where Cassa was. She was now a the core of the Lyrx disease.

"Magnificent! Absolutely Magnificent!" Astrid evilly laughs out loud. As his mission was one step closer to being complete. Then with a few taps of his staff. He and the biomass vanished from Rose's lab to an unknown location. 

As we come back to the fight between Salas and Kyako it seems the battle was over. The dust had finally settled and in the ground were two beings. Arako and Kytel, both deformed and unconscious.

"You mortals were underwhelming. I thought you'd at least put up a longer fight... Whatever this will allow me to finish two of you off now."

Salas raises his left hand to the sky and points his index finger upwards. Creating an orange ball of energy, big enough to destroy both Arako and Kytel.

"Perish into the other world!"

Back in Westfall city once again, we see that Rose and Bell had driven here to find Cassa. However unaware they missed her. They believe they'd find her within the central metro... As they arrive, Rose tells Bell to wait with Ru outside. Because she believes it won't be a sight a child should witness.

"Crimson?? Okara??" Rose shouts as she runs down the first flight of stairs into the metro. As she reaches the polar opposite staircases she stops and stares down at them.

"You guys! What are you doing!"

Crimson looks up at the sound of her voice. His mind was slightly broken yet connected.

"Rose..."

"What happened here?!"

"Salas, Astrid... They killed them all. We weren't able to save them..."

"That means... Have you seen Cassa?!"

Suddenly Okara snapped out of his mental state as well.

"What about Cassa?"

"She went to check if what Salla said was true. That you guys were the ones who slaughtered everyone here... But it seems we were played."

"What do you mean Rose?"

"Salla was Salas in disguise!"

"Y-You've got to be kidding me..." Crimson said as he clenched his fists in anger. 

"That bastard deceived us... He was gaining information on us while we were unguarded!" Okara shouted as he slowly set Asha's body down and stood up blood dripping from his hands.

Fire burning in their eyes. As they knew something had to be done.
