Chapter 4: The Girl

"Green Light" it shouted and I stood up and felt my knee cramp a little. "Red Light" said the doll and I looked at everyone in front of me as they all jump to the finish line. Including Sae-Byeok. But of course I just couldn't help it anymore, my knee cramped again causing me to fall. Again.

I'm dead.

Y/n's POV;

I closed my eyes getting ready to fall on my face and get shot. But I suddenly feel something, well, someone hug me from behind and pulled me closer to them. I froze. And so did the person that's hugging me.

"Don't move" she whispered. I tried to say something but nothing came out.

Sae-Byeok's POV;

I did it. I passed the first game. What about...

I quickly sit up, I see her looking at me trying to run as fast as she can but she's limping. "Red Light" I heard the doll say as I watch Y/n fall.

Shit.

I then turned around, not wanting to see her die. I covered my ears as I hear a gunshot. 'No... No please... Tell me this isn't happening. It's a dream. It's just a stupid dream' I said in my head over and over again.

I slowly look back to see a girl hugging her from behind. I couldn't see her face since Y/n was a little taller. I sighed in relief as I covered my face with my hands, calming down.

"Green Light" said the doll and I look up to see number 240 helping Y/n to run. And finally, they crossed the pink line.

Y/n falls to the ground while she pulls 240 with her and she landed on top of my Y/n. They stared at each other. 240 got off of her and they both laughed.

I'm really thankful for what 240 did, for saving Y/n. But I don't have a good feeling about her at all.

I have never seen Y/n smile like that for years, but it hurts me to see her smile because of someone else.

Third Person's POV;

The time was up and everyone who didn't reach the end got shot. The players were then brought back to the hallways to go back to the main room.

"Hey, thank you so much for helping me out there. I owe you." said Y/n to player 240. "No problem" she said while smiling.

"Y/n. I'm Y/n L/n." she said and gave her hand to shake. "Ji-yeong" she answered and shakes her hand. "Ji-yeong...?" Y/n asked waiting for her to say her last name.

"Don't have one. Just Ji-yeong" Y/n nods. "Okay then, 'don't have one just Ji-yeong' what a long name you have" she joked. Ji-yeong laughed.

Sae-Byeok on the other hand, wasn't happy. (I mean she never is *cough* jk jk) While walking back to the rooms, Sae-Byeok listened to their conversation.

'How could she just tell her name to her? I mean she just met her and she trusts her already?' She thought.

Once back in the room, everyone just sat there, still in shock of what just happened. The door opened with that annoying alarm and the guards came in the room. We all stood up and some backed off, scared of getting shot.

"Congratulations, you all made it through the first game. I will now announce the result of the first game." said the square guard. The numbers on the screen went down from 456 to 201.
