Louis and I sat at the waiting area, waiting for our flight as Lauren and Brad went to the bathroom
“Hey what time's your flight again?”Louis asked
“6pm.” I responded
“We should grab a food to eat since its still 4pm.” Louis said
“Let's go get burgers.” I told him
“We'll but when those two loverbird are back. Their flight is 5pm right? ” Louis asked
“Yeah.” I answered
Yes Lauren and Brad are back together. How? Well Louis and I overheard them as we were about to go inside the apartment...

/Flashback/
“Lauren, I still love you. And I know it isn't going to be easy but I just want to put everything behind us and just start over.” Brad said
“Brad I still care for you. I am not perfect, no one is. But my biggest regret was letting to of what we had. If I could just erase that and let you see how much I am better off with you.” Lauren responded with her voice breaking
“I may not say this but I forgave you. I just needed to here you say those things Lauren. And trust me, I am willing to erase everything. You make me a better person Lauren. I promise you I won't ever drink that much again.” Brad told her
“Don't ever make me worry about you like that again! I thought you got mugged or something and it killed me screaming at you last night because all I really wanted to do was hug you.” she said
“I love you so much Lauren.” he said
“I love you too Brad.” she responded

“Hey has Lauren returned?” Brad asked as he sat beside Louis
“She's over there buying pretzels.”I pointed
“We'll just buy burgers. Do you want any?” Louis asked
“Yeah, but no pickles for Lauren and two iced tea.” Brad answered
“Gotcha.” I said
“I'll pay you later. Thanks.” Brad added
Louis and I walked hand in hand. Lauren and Brad were getting on the same flight but Louis and I were boarding separate flights.
“What time is your flight?” I asked
“7 pm” Louis said
“Why not just get the 5pm flight.” I asked
“I want you to board before me babe.” Louis answered
“I'll miss you.” I said
“You and me both babe.” Louis responded
After buying the burgers we sat beside Lauren and Brad. They were so happy together, 30 minutes before their flight they checked in and left me and Louis there. I envied them, they maybe younger by a year or two but you know what they knew where they belonged and were not afraid to go for it.
Louis and I remained quiet for an hour. Then he finally broke the silence
“Babe we should get you checked in.” Louis said as he carried my luggage
“Okay.” I responded
He helped me and when I was clear to go I gave him a weak smile
“We'll still see each other babe. I promise.” Louis said
“I know. And Boyfriend, don't ever cheat on me okay?” I said fighting back the tears
“What?” Louis said with a wide smile
“Your my boyfriend.” I replied
“I love you so much Jade!” he said as he carried me and spun me. We kissed and I knew we may not be getting in the same plane, this guy was truly for keeps.
“I should go babe.” I said
“Call me when your in London okay?” Louis told me and I hugged him tight before I left him there.
I wiped my tears and told myself this was our new normal. Long distance was never going to be easy but I was willing to do anything for him.
