Closing Time

Chapter 2

             Weeks passed, I kept seeing him all over the school and our street. What is happening? I sat in the school's fountain front for a while as I waited for Jesy and Niall to finish their classes. I was humming until someone sat beside me.

“You don't mind do you?” he said.

I glanced over and it was no other than Louis.

“You scared of me?” he said as he stared at the clouds.

“No.” I said.

“Really love?” he said and he looked at me.

“You have tattoos?” I asked as I saw his arms.

“Yeah, just reminds me of things that matter.” he said.

“That curly haired guy has been staring at you.” he added.

“He's Harry.” I said.

“See you around humming bird.” he said and he left.

“Hey Jade.” Harry said as he approached.

I smiled at him. “Was Louis bothering you?” he asked.

“Nope, I'm fine. I'm just waiting for my friends.” I said.

            Harry kept me company until Jesy and Niall finished. A lot of people started going out and then Harry bid goodbye.

“Harry Styles is your friend?” asked Jesy.

“Yeah, kind of.” I said.

“The most popular guy in school is friends with you. Well, you go girl!” Jesy said with a smile.

“Let's go girls?” Niall said and we went to the Pizza Parlor that we loved oh so much.

                “YES PIZZA!.” Niall shouted.

“If he wasn't your boyfriend I'd be ashamed of him.” I said with a laugh.

“I know Niallers won't cheat on me but I know he'll choose food over me.” Jesy said with a laugh.

We sat at our favorite booth and we ordered Niall's favorite Meatlovers Pizza, Jesy and I on the other hand ordered Seafood Paradise Pizza. Niall could devour an entire pizza while Jesy and I had to share. Then to my shock Liam handed us the Pizza.

“You work here?” I asked.

“Hi Jade and friends, yeah.” Liam said with a smile.

“Saving up for this girl I like.” he added, I smiled.

“Tell us more.” I said.

“I can't, I'm on my shift. See you around Jade and friends.” he said and he went back to the counter.

            “Miss popular are we?”Jesy teases me.

“Stop.” I said.

“You going to finish that girls?” Niall said with a full mouth.

“You are such a pig honey.” Jesy said as she handed him her left overs.

I smiled looking at them it was natural, nothing was being forced, that's chemistry. Just amazing, I think I was staring at them blankly for a long time.

“My Mum texted me, I have to go home, grandmum is visiting today.” Jesy said.

“I'll accompany you home, want to go home now Jade?” Niall asked.

“I'll stay for a little bit. See you tomorrow.” I said and they left.

I then moved to the counter and ordered coffee.

           “You're still here?” Liam said.

“Got nothing to do at home.” I said and I sipped my coffee.

“So tell me about the girl?” I said and he smiled at me

“But were not really friends.” he teased.

“Fine. See you Liam.” I said as I stood up and payed for the coffee.

As I exited I bumped into Louis again.

“Hey humming bird. Leaving so soon?” he said .

“I didn't know rebels went to places like this.” I said.

“You might want to stay for a while and see a different side of me.” he said with a smile.

I didn't how we started talking to each other but I think I was a little comfortable talking to him even if it was so odd for me. I really felt like I wanted to be close to him, I wanted to know his story. I glanced back and I saw him talking to Liam, I thought to myself what the hell. I'll stay for awhile.

           I got back to the counter and I didn't know what took over me but I sat beside him.

“You couldn't resist bad boys could you?” Louis teased.

“I'm curious.” I said. “
You're up Lou.” Liam said.

“Still here Jade huh? Here coffee, in the house.” he said as he handed me a cup.

Louis stood up and went to the small stage at the end of the Pizza Place. He took a stool and he started playing the guitar.

“Good evening folks, I'm Louis as you all know and I'll be singing Closing Time by Semisonic and after that I'll be taking requests.” he said in a very serious tone, I didn't know he sung.

              As he sung, I was so amazed, he closed his eyes but you could feel the emotions that he felt.

“He has great voice, he may look like he's up to no good but he is really just trying to survive life.” Liam said.

“He can really sing.” I said.

After 5 songs, Louis was done. He and Liam accompanied me home. Louis was quiet the entire time but I got to know Liam more, Louis practically lived with Liam's family and Liam had to work to help her Mum with their bills.

“Thanks for the company.” I said as I walked towards my house's front door.

“It was nice to know, so the girl you're saving up for, is she real?” I asked.

“Yeah she is, but she doesn't know I exist yet. See you around Jade and officially we're now friends.” Liam said and Louis just gave me a smile and they went to their house.

                “Where have you been?” Zayn greeted. “I was the Pizza Parlor. I was with Liam.” I said

“And the Louis kid? Liam, I can accept that bloke is nice but that Louis kid he's trouble Jade, don't get involved with his life problems.” Zayn said.

“Liam is friends with Louis.” I said

“I know, because Liam is very friendly but Jade I don't like you hanging around that Louis kid, if you hang out with Liam just hang out only with Liam and no else.” Zayn said I just nodded.

                   Louis seemed nice, he was okay I mean he looks different. Yes he has tattoos but the way he talks, it was not unusual. I guess he just gives off a wrong signal on purpose, but he's friends with Liam who is somewhat his opposite. It has been weeks and I am still thinking about him, I'm still drawn to him, I can't shake him off my mind. I had to know him better, or better yet I want to know him better. I know he is more than the scary kid with tattoos he has a story and I know he is just like all of us.
