Pain! Was all I felt. Pain! As I screamed out pleas. Pain! Blood drip from my wounds. Pain! With each strike. Pain! As my father released his anger out on me in the only way he knew or only way he choose to. Pain! Pain! PAIN!!
"Please!" She beg as he strikes her again.
"Shut up!" He screams in her face, as he lifts her from where she lay on the floor to look at him.
"I-I'm s-sorry. I-I d-didn't mean t-to." The bruised girl stuttered in between sobs.
"Not good enough." He states, before slapping his daughter across the face.
Once again, she lays on the floor, as the man -who is supposed to love, care and protect her- pounds into her. She is helplessly crying, her father raises his fist to hit her again, but is stopped by a handcuff surrounding his wrist and yanking him away from her frail, beaten body.
"Oh my god..." A female officer breathed out as she slowly entered the house. She caught sight of the youngest Vanderwaal struggling to sit up and rushed over. "Are you alright sweetheart?"
"I-I'm fine. I-its nothing that hasn't happened before." She let out a bitter laugh. "How'd you know to come here?"
"Your neighbours called us." The officer softly stated.
"Oh they finally grew some balls and did something about it." The broken girl said cold-heartedly.
"Hey now. You could've done something about it, but you didn't. You should be grateful." The female officer scolded.
"Grateful? They've known for years and ain't said nothing to no one! And I did try to do something about it but he found out and I got beating for that!" She snapped.
"Well, I'm sorry sweet-" The other female began, before you cut her off.
"DON'T! I don't need this right now!" The young girl struggled to stand up, but eventually succeeded.
"Do you need any help? I can take you to the hospital?" The officer offered.
"No! Its fine! Just leave me alone!" She limped away from the officer, clutching her stomach.
"Jeez, I'm starting to see why he was such a bastard." The female officer muttered.
"The hell you just say?!" The now angered girl raised her voice turning back around.
"That's enough!" Another officer entered with a middle-aged man following closely behind him. "Young lady, this is Mike Milligan. He is gonna be your care-worker. You're gonna move into his care home, Elm Tree House, until further notice. You understand?" She nods in response, "Good. Now go get everything you wanna take with you."
The young girl left to go to her room. She grabbed a duffel bag from under her bed and filled it with: Clothes, a pair of trainers, a charger, snow globe and jewellery box. She exited her room and heard them whispering.
"Are you for real?" She guessed Mike, hissed. "You don't say that about someone in this sort of situation, especially if its this severe and they have just had another beating. Do you know what effect that could have on that poor girl?"
"I have to agree with Mike here." The male officer piped in, "What were you thinking, Stef?"
"Come on. You should've heard how she spoke to me, after I tried to help her." Stef answered
"I don't care. That was so unprofessional." The male officer scolded.
"All I'm saying is I can see where this guy is coming from. It's probably all her fault, she is just a trouble maker who deserves to be punished."
