It's the 1st of December! Christmas!
I rush downstairs and to the living room, where I knock on the open door. Elektra, Liam, Frank and Johnny turn to look at me, Liam and Frank share a knowing look once they realise what I'm doing.
"Roxy!" Liam and Frank cheer.
"Boys!" I copy but stay put in the doorway.
"What you doing, Roxy?" Elektra asks. "Come and sit down before that watermelon falls out of you for standing up too long."
"Are you asking me to step in?" I ask her with a smirk.
"What?" Liam and Frank ask with matching smirks.
"Are you asking me to... step into Christmas!" The three of us start dancing in the middle of the room.
"Step into Christmas!
Let's join together
We can watch the snow fall forever and ever!"
"Whoo!" We cheer and laugh to ourselves.
"Gavin & Stacey? Really?" Elektra raises an eyebrow at us.
"Gavin & Smithy, technically." Liam corrects with a smirk, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his hands on my stomach.
"It's tradition." I smile.
"Shit." Liam mutters under his breath.
"What's wrong?" I turn my head to look at him.
"I've gotta head to the garage." He remembers. "I took an extra shift yesterday. I've gotta go."
"Alright." I nod sadly. "When will you be back?"
"No later than dinner, I promise." He pecks my lips. "Love you."
"Love you too."

"KIDS!" Gina's shrill voice echoes through the house, causing me to drop the control as I try to find a film. "House Meeting! Kitchen Now!"
I lazily get up off the sofa with Elektra, and we head into the kitchen, where most of the house is.
I pick up an apple and start slicing it into pieces when Gina speaks up. "So, we have a surprise for you."
"Hold on, Roxy, where's Liam?" Mike asks, causing everyone to look at me.
"He's at work." I state. "He took an extra shift."
"Okay, babes." Gina nods in acknowledgement.
"Anyway." Mike claps. "As you all know, in three weeks, we're gonna have a very special visitor. And Tee, who is that visitor?"
"Santa." She smiles excitedly, and a few of the younger kids jump in their seats.
"Yep, it's Christmas!" Mike bellows.
We all laugh and cheer, excited for the upcoming holiday.
"Well, as exciting as the holidays are, normally we have a boring Christmas at home..." Gina trails off.
"I like Christmas at home." I speak up and hand Harry a slice of apple, picking him up to sit him on the counter.
"Thanks, Roxy." Mike smiles.
"No problem, Mikey." I nod to him.
"As we were saying, I got in touch with my brother, Matthew, and he told me about his new cabins up in Norfolk. They're a seasonal type thing." Mike states.
"And?" Elektra asks bored.
"And, me and Gina agreed that we all could do with a good getaway." Mike and Gina nod to each other.
"No way..." I mutter in shock as I catch on to what he's implying.
"So... we booked the cabins! We're having a white Christmas this year!" Mike throws his arms in the air, and the house erupts in excitement at the new news.
"Yay!"
"We're leaving on the 12th, so get-"
Frank cuts Mike off, "Wait, what? I can't leave on the 12th, I'm going to Grandad's on the 15th."
"When am I gonna be able to see the girls before Christmas?" Lily asks.
"This is too short notice, how will I be ready in time?" Gus says dramatically, quickly scribbling in his notebook.
"And me, Lily and Tee are going Christmas shopping on the 12th." Carmen points out.
"And I'm gonna be very pregnant then." I remind. "Is it safe for me to travel that far?"
"We'll be driving not flying, so you'll be fine, babes." Gina assures.
"What about work? Me and Liam can't just go on holiday." I shake my head.
Everyone starts talking over each other in disagreement with the short notice of our new Christmas holiday.
"Listen! Everyone!"
"QUIET!" Gina silences everyone.
"Thank you." Mike breathes out. "Now listen, everything will be okay. Frank, you can visit your grandad before we leave and Lily, you can visit the girls as well. Everyone can do their secret santa shopping at the cabin. And Roxy, you can book the next two weeks off, I'm sure. Everything will work out. Now come on! Christmas in the cabins! Whoo!"
We all share wary looks.

"I'm home!" I hear my boyfriend's voice call, and the front door slams as me and Frank set the dinner table. "Rox?"
"In the kitchen!" Me and Frank say in sync.
"Hey." Liam kisses my cheek. "Nice shirt."
"Aw, thanks." I look down and sip my hot chocolate.
"Elektra asked Gina to get it for her." Frank informs Liam.
"Course she did." Liam chuckles. "So what'd I miss?"
"You've gotta take some time off work." I tell him, and his face contorts in confusion.
"What? Why?" Liam asks, confused.
"Mike and Gina booked some cabins in Norfolk to spend Christmas." Frank smiles excitedly.
"No way, when do we leave?" Liam looks between the two of us.
"The 12th." I say.
"Bit short notice innit?" Liam scrunches his eyebrows in thought and leans his elbows on the counter, accepting the hot chocolate I offer him. "Ta."
"Yeah, but Mike said he's got a plan." I shrug. "So, you need to call Max from the garage and tell him you need the next three weeks off, and I need to ring Jerry about early maternity leave."
"I'll tell him tomorrow during my shift." Liam decides.
"Alright." I nod. "I'll do the same and start packing when I get home."
"Alright." He walks round the counter and to the stove, "What we having?"
"Chicken and noodles." Me and Frank say in sync.
"Decent."
