My biggest flaw has always been getting ready on time. I never made an effort to change the fact that I was constantly getting ready too late. My phone was making constant dinging noises, and what I assumed was Simon's car was outside my flat honking repeatedly, alerting me that I needed to go before Simon drove off without me.

I hurried out the door throwing my keys and makeup bag into a random tote bag that was lying at my apartment's entrance. For the first time, I willingly took the stairs knowing that it would probably be quicker than using the lift.

It had started to pour rain as I stepped outside. I ran towards Simon's car which was parked illegally. Practically threw myself into the passenger seat as soon as I got to the car.

"Maisie, I'm goin' to bloody kill you if I get a yellow card because of you," Simon fumed and immediately driving off as I shut the car door, "This gon' be the first and last time I'm picking you up!"

"My alarm didn't go off! I slept over myself," I defended, knowing I was still in the wrong. "Sorry Simon, I'll make it up to you"

It was a Tuesday and I was being picked up by Simon to go to a Sidemen Sunday shoot. We were supposed to meet at 10 am at the Big London Bakeoff where we were filming today and currently, it was 9:40 giving us 20 minutes to an almost 30-minute drive. I really made an effort to get ready early today since Simon was picking me up. Even though I had set my alarm for one and a half hours before he arrived, I still managed to wake up to his repeated calls.

"Now I get why JJ stopped driving you," He remarked.

"Oh, please stop it," I scowled. "Was never this late with JJ. He jus' made a big fuss out of it."

That was a lie. JJ used to pick me up, but he quit after I had gotten him too close to a yellow card far too many times. Which I don't hold against him. I had Harry now, but he wasn't able to drive me today for some reason, so Simon was kind enough to take over and drive me this time, something I genuinely believe he regrets.

"Just be glad you're getting this quality time with me," I bantered, pulling out my makeup and began to get ready in Simon's car. "Because soon you'll all be done driving me places because I will be getting my brand new car!"

That was also a lie. I've spent the last eight months looking for a new car, but I haven't been able to find the perfect one, and it doesn't seem like I will in the near future. I was therefore forced to rely on public transport and the other sidemen members to drive me during bad weather.

"I speak on everyone's behalf when I tell you we're all very excited for you to get that car." He said cynically, implying that they were all just thrilled they didn't have to drive me any more.

"You all gonna miss it," I stated.

"Doubt it."

I ignored him, concentrating on getting my makeup just right for the shoot. Thankfully, it was nothing major, and I didn't feel the need to look my best because we were only recording a cooking video today. Who knows? might get flour thrown at me.

At precisely 10:00 a.m. we arrived at the shoot. Simon hurried out of the car and into the big white telt. While I also tried to rush inside, I was also taking care to prevent the rain from ruining my makeup.

Ethan beamingly said, "Oh, there they were," as soon as we entered the studio together. "We were sure you were gonna get a yellow card."

"See that's why I don't drive you anymore, Mais," JJ called me out and snarled. "Almost getting a yellow card is a thrill I don't want in my life."

"Please, you all act like I have actually caused one of you to get a yellow card." I defended myself.

I made a fast round to greet the boys and the crew, then I went outside to change out of what was literally my pajamas.

The frequent jokes, banter, and insults were a drawback of being in a group of only males, despite the fact that this banter was nothing in comparison to past occasions. Apart from that, though, I wouldn't give anything for the seven guys because they had been like my family for the previous ten years.

After I returned to the others, Simon and Josh began a detailed explanation of the content of today's video, as up until now, we had only gotten a text description of the video.

We were divided into two teams of four. JJ, Ethan, Simon and me and then Tobi, Harry, Josh and Vik. My team was destined to fail from the beginning. While I could cook fairly well, the others were the total opposite. I tried to handle things, but the others always found a way to get in the way and sabotage our team's efforts.

This resulted in humorous content and wasn't inherently negative, so I eventually let them ruin our own team's chance to win. After a few hours, the shot finished, and to no one's surprise, my team lost.

Even though we had finished for the day, some of us lingered a little bit longer. Among those was me. I spoke with Ethan and Harry for a while, but eventually, Ethan had to return home to Olive and Faith. I kept talking to Harry, hoping that I would be lucky enough to get him to give me a ride home.

"Oh, and I meant to ask from Cal and Freezy if you would want to join us at the pub later today. They say it's been too long," Harry remarked, adding awkwardly after. "And of course also asking from me."

"Ohh, I'd love to but I already have plans for tonight. Sorry," I said, actually having no plans. It had been forever since I last saw them.

"No Worries, we will just find another day," Harry said trying to hide his disappointment. "What have you planned for tonight?"

As he asks that question my phone dings and then another ding right after. I looked at it and it was my plans.

Charlie:

Thought you said you'd be here by now

You spend way too much time with them

On my way

I sighed and quickly texted something back. Afterwards showing Harry his text.

"Charlie?" Harry asked. "That's what you have planned for tonight?"

"I don't wanna deal with him today, so best I stay home, sorry." I apologies, being genuinely down over not being able to go out. "Harry, if it's not too much to ask, could you give me a ride home to him?"

All of the sidemen hated Charlie, and they had all since the very start of your relationship. Even though they weren't big fans of him they still respected me and tried as little as possible to comment on it.

"Okay, but only this time and then I ain't driving you home to that bastard again." He hesitated a little before agreeing. "I think Charlie has a death wish on me. He's mental."

"Stop it, you all are never fair to him!" I pleaded picking up my things.

"Look at the way he controls you," he said. "I'd never control a girl like that."

I didn't even try to defend Charlie.

It was a quiet trip to Charlie's flat. Background music was playing as Harry and I rambled on about unrelated topics.

When we got to Charlie's, I got out of Harry's car and said thanks. I walked slowly towards the flat complex, dragging my feet along. I rang the doorphone and the entrance opened immediately.

His front door was already open when I came to his floor. I kicked off my shoes as I entered and dropped my bag to the floor. Charlie was waiting at the when I arrived.

"Hi hun," I said as I walked closer to hug him. "How's your day been?"

"Fine," He answered short and coldly. "Who was it who drove you here?"

"Oh, erhm- it was just Kirsty," I lied.
