Katie had no idea how to find the man on her own so she sent Gerarld, the royal messenger to search the whole kingdom if he must.
Meanwhile, Katie had an embroidery lesson, and then went to bed early. She couldnt stop worrying about dinner.
Gerarld returned to the palace the next morning and informed Katie, who was practicing the piano in the grand hall, that the man was no longer in the kingdom. "The dinner is tonight! If he doesnt come then i will surely be forced to marry prince eric!"
"I am truly sorry m'lady but he is nowhere to be found in the kingdom." Gerarld bowed. "I must be gone m'lady, the king is expecting me elsewhere."
Katie returned to her bedroom and sat on her bed. she tried to read but found herself crying instead.
Later she wahsed and got dressed in her best clothes. She was going to dinner with or without the stranger and she was going to do it with pride.
