"You are...prince Eric?" Katie took a hesitant step forward, and then ran to prince Eric.
He laughed and embraced her. "I tried to tell you in the gardens but you ran away."
Katie pulled away from him and turned to her mother. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Darling, please don't be offended by me but it was really just to amuse me."
Prince Eric laughed at this and then straightened up. "But now that this has been sorted I must ask you something." he took Katie's hand in his and slipped a silver ring onto her finger. "Katherine Alexia Wolfe, I haven't known you for very long but I know already that I love you, and I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else. Will you marry me?"
