I stared at the Acorn in my palm once again not realizing that Inosuke wasn't finished talking.

"HEY! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?!" he yells poking my forehead to get my attention.

"Sorry haha...I've just never seen things like this before," I say as my eyes travel to the trees high above both of us.

" Hey...How did you climb those trees like that?!" I said with a sudden change of attuite.

"heh? Do you mean you don't know how to climb a tree? where are you from exactly?" he asked confused. I fumble around with the seam on my shirt. ' I need to tell him eventually it's not like I have anywhere else to go, plus even if I tried to escape he would just catch me again' I sigh.

"I-I think I lived on the streets of Tokyo, I don't remember much, all I know is that I woke up In a random house that I didn't know. And these people told me they were my parents, I could tell there was something off though. And one night, actually last night I heard them say that they put something in the back of my neck, they called it a chip? and they talked about demon slayers and making money off of it?" I explained.

" but they also said...they said that they killed my parents, a-and they were gonna kill me to get this thing out of my neck because it was the only one they had or something? and it wasn't working?" my voice got shaky. " so I ran away and then I found your mountain and...you caught me." I explained with slight tears in my eyes.

Inosuke's POV (finally lol)

I looked at this girl in confusion.

 ' Why is she crying like that? I have no human parents and I'm not sad' I thought to myself.

 ' if someone said they were going to kill me I'd kill them before they got the chance!'

 I forgot she was still talking so I focused my eyes back on her. Her eyes looked puffy, she looks embarrassed.

 'what do I do? this is kinda awkward, I should've gone back to my parents already ' 

 ' wait, what if I show her my parents! She doesn't know much about the forest right??, plus it might make this situation a little less awkward, did I mention this is awkward?'

 I grab her wrist and lead her to clear in the woods where a boar lay on its side.

Moriko's POV

I was so caught up in my own tears I didn't realize this boy was bringing me somewhere. I look up from the ground to see a boar sitting in front of me "wha-?" I say out loud confused.

Inosuke looks back at me " this is my mom!" he says pointing at the female boar

. "your...mom?"I ask confused.

 "yeah what about her?!" he says protectively. 

"she's a boar?" I ask.

 "well DUH! yeah, she's a boar!" he says crossing his arms. 

"well yeah, but...do you not have human parents?" I ask timidly awaiting his reaction.

"If I did I don't remember them... It doesn't matter though! I don't need 'em!" He exclaimed

"All the mountain animals adore me! that's why I'm their king!" He said puffing his chest out proudly.

I laugh slightly, then I spot two younger-looking boars waddle up to the older one, these must be her kids... and Inosuke's siblings?.

"Who are those two?" I ask pointing to the tiny boars.

"heh?" he questions turning his head towards the two, "oh, those are my siblings their part of my herd!" He says running towards them and picking them up.

"Herd?" I think out loud. 

"yup! they help me out all the time! these are the only creatures I don't consider my slaves!" He squeezes the boars tightly in his arms and walks toward me. 

"I'm not you're slave!" I grunt while subconsciously petting the small animals. 

Inosuke's POV

I look at the girl, what was her name again? Mario or something? whatever. 

I watch her pet, my siblings, as they squeal and lean their heads into Her hands. why do I feel angry all of the sudden? My stomach feels weird am I hungry or something? no?? this is weird'. I push her hands off of my sister's and brother's heads. 

"hey who said you were allowed to touch them! y-your still my prisoner you know!" I exclaim.

"Are you even listening to me! I'm not your prisoner! I was going to DIE! that's why I even came here in the first place!" 

 she sounded so serious,

 I wouldn't admit it but it scared me a bit. I set my brother and sister down and stared at her, she didn't seem to be looking at me, she was looking through me. 

"The only reason I haven't tried to leave again is that I have nowhere else to go! I would gladly stay here but you're treating me terribly! like I'm your prisoner!" she yelled once more before finally focusing on my face. 

her expression softened and her eyes filled with tears once more. I opened my mouth slightly but no words came out, I didn't know what to say, to be honest, I still don't know how to speak very well, she's the first person I've seen in months? years? I don't remember really.

"I-I'm sorry..." she said. she looks upset. at me?? I don't even know anymore.

"...just get inside, It's getting dark," I say turning around towards the cave where I sleep

'what just happened? do I wanna know?' I ask myself.

I walk into the cave and light a small fire to keep us warm.

I grab two moss and deer hide blankets and toss one to the other side of the fire for my 'guest'.

I pull my blanket over the top of my head as I lay down, I don't know what to think other than,

'who is this girl?'
