"Wake up!"
Something nosed him in the shoulder, waiting for him to wake up. It nosed harder, finally getting him up. Artyom ached a bit from the knock he got, but nothing too serious he couldn't handle. Opening his soft brown eyes he looked up to see Vadim looking at him, a bit worried he hurt him.
"Come on, get up, I know you can," Vadim coaxed. Artyom slowly got back up, having to look up a bit to look into Vadim's darker eyes. The only thing Vadim told him to do was follow. Following slowly until coming to a stop.
"Soon our homes shall be one with there's, and we shall have nowhere to go," Vadim was staring at the large overcrowded area. There were more twoleg dens than little Artyom could see.
"The Twolegs are coming, and there is nothing we can do about it, now come on we are leaving," Vadim nudged Artyom in the shoulder, then taking the lead, showing Arytom the way out of the tangle of dens and roads. It was 8 days later when Vadim came back to Artyom, talking to him about a journey to the Place of Pines, a place far away where the sun always shines and the winters are never too rough.
Arytom didn't want to leave the forest he had grown up in since he was a cub, but it Vadim was telling truth, then it was in the best interest that he followed along. Looking at his den and back at the large Grizzly, he thought, why should I leave? the Twolegs will never dare come here!
"How about in a few days after I have thought about it?" Arytom asked, not wanting Vadim to be angry with him not deciding right away. Vadim nodded.
"I understand your hesitancy about this, I will give you 4 sunrises from today to make your decision. I will return then for your response," Vadim told him, then without any other words he turned and left. Arytom still didn't see a good reason for him and Vadim to leave this perfect forest. Like he said the Twolegs will never come here, there is nothing that they want or need here. With the thought of leaving came the thought of food. Arytom knew laying about in the sun all day thinking about Basim's crazy ideas, besides it was obvious he had bees in his head! Slowly getting up and allowing the sun to soak up into his rich dark fur, he started his usual method of food collection. Roaming around on the soft forest floor almost made him forget Vadim's words last night. He pushed the thought out of head as he had spotted a more fitting bush of berries, black clouds. Breifly stopping in his tracks to look about the small clearing where his beloved blackclouds had rooted. Seeing no movement suggesting otherwise, Arytom padded over and started picking them off, trying to get all of the black fruit into his snout.
After a bit of time and circling the bush several times, Arytom concluded he had indeed been picked clean. Havig his fill for now, he retreated to the warmth of his den. Once in his den he began moveing the old leaves out. Scraping his claws against the soft dirt under the old leaves to make sure there were no stones or old leaves from prior. Looking content with the slightly bigger den, he slowly emerged, looking around for leaves and moss.
"Better to have more than not enough" Arytom muttered seeing the large pile making his den cozy once more. With the arangement of his bedding being exact he layers down and began quiet ly going over what Vadim had said once more.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
