I swung the front door open to see my mum lying on the sofa sniffling and wiping her eyes. She probably didn't want me to know she was crying but her red blood shot eyes gave it all away. Trust me I am the last person on the planet to console someone once they have been upset, so I approached the sofa and awkwardly stroked my mum's arm.

Having my antisocial issues I didn't know what and how I should comfort her. I Knew why she was crying, no one had taken the death of Peter easily and the fact that my dad knew but still had not returned made everything worse. She slowly sat up making room for me to sit next to her.

My mum and I never really got on well since the loss of my brother. We always argued and since there was no one to stop us we never really did stop.
After sitting in a rather awkward silence my mum broke it.

"Where we're you last night? You didn't come home."she stated. I stayed the night at Luke's house since it was getting pretty late and he said I was in no condition to drive. Oh yeah I had to thank him for that. After explaining to my mum where I had been last night I ran up the stairs, grabbed my iPhone out of my pocket and turned it on. I stare at my phone for a few minutes looking at my wallpaper which is a selfie of Peter and I. I'm broken out of my stare as my phone let out a familiar buzz. I answer the phone to her the voice of my best friend.

"Hi Trace"I sing in a voice that I hoped sounded rather cheerful. She knew when something was wrong just by the sound of my voice and she wouldn't stop asking until I answered.
"Hey " she answered as I smile.
"So there is an awesome party that is gonna happen at Kyle's house next week, when shall I come and pick you up?"

This was one of the reasons for why Tracy was my best friend she knew me so well that she already knew that I was going come to the party. What can I say I'm a party kind of girl. Once I decide what time I want Trace picking me up I hang up and remember to thank Lucas, once I do exactly that I land on my bed with a big thump.

As I shuffle around on my springy bed with absolutely nothing at all to do, I decide that it's time to pick out what outfit I'm going to wear to Kyle's party next week. I know it's in a while but I had nothing better to do. Don't get me wrong I am no girly girl but I do care about my appearance.

After fifteen minutes and eleven outfits later I finally decide on a pair black ripped skinny jeans and a navy blue tank top. I decide that a black leather jacket and my grey line patterned beanie would complete the entire Bad girl look.

Normal high school year eleven students would be stressing out over GCSE's and revision that needs to be done, but what can I say I really don't care.

Trying to fall asleep all my chances vanish into thin air as I hear Betty our neighbours dog start barking like mad. Sometimes she annoys the hell out of me. Eventhough Betty was not our dog Peter and I had some really good memories with that dog.

I remember the day like it was yesterday. Peter and I were playing in our back yard when Betty started barking as she attempted to jump over the not so tall fence that divided our yard with hers. Peter being a big dog lover and always wanting one decided to jump over the fence and bring Betty into our garden. We took her inside and as soon as my mum found out she went ballistic. I remember her words quite clearly 'I cannot believe that you two just dognapped our neighbours dog, go return him this instance and apologise before our neighbour realises herself and you two get into even more trouble!'Even after getting into trouble Peter and I had both fond the situation hilarious. Even if it was about ten years ago and I still remembered that day and the event so clearly.
It is memories like this that I did not want to ever forget and I hope that Peter has not forgotten them either.

Admitting to myself that I was never going to fall asleep I walked over to my Ipod turned the music on full blast and violently pushed the headphones over my ears. Moving my head and tapping my foot in time to the rock music I realised just how much I loved this band. Peter did too.

As I glanced at the time on the top of my phone screen I did not even try to run for the W15 that was approaching the bus stop. Instead I decide that the good half an hour walk to school would do me good. I really did not give a damn if I was already 45 minutes late.

I mentally groaned as I realised that I had already reached school and really was not bothered to do anything today. Reaching into my bag to look for a cigarette because I really need one right now I went straight into the toilets. As I lit the cigarette I heard the all familiar high pitched voice of Jane Cliffer.
"Slut" she mumbled loud enough for me to hear as she walked past me. Gosh this girl was already getting on my nerves and the day had not even started yet, well for me anyway.

"Seriously Jane that's like the only cuss you can throw. Wait I didn't even know if that is considered as a cuss" I fired back I could have easily just slapped her there right on the spot when the next line of words flew out her mouth!
"No wonder Peter was ashamed of having a poor excuse of a sister like you" When I say I could have slapped her the only thing that was stopping me was the fact that I had a perfectly made cigarette that was currently rolling around in between my fingertips. But she had taken it too far so I dropped my cigarette, shaped my hand into a fist and a second later my fist made contact with Jane's face.

Bringing my arm back to my side I then took the opportunity of her kneeling over in pain to kick her in the stomach.
"You little B*tch!"Jane screamed as she flew towards me, blood dripping down her cheek.
She curled her hand into a fist and tried to do something that I would call a rubbish attempt of a punch. I swiftly moved to the side dodging the so called punch, Scratching the side of my face with her manicured nails, I realised that it was going to show. Now she has really ticked me off.

"That's it!" I screamed in anger as I chased a petrified Jane down into the hall. As soon as I reached her and was about to throw a punch that was aimed right at her face a pair of masculine arms wrapped themselves around my face. In complete surprise I looked up to see someone who was quite tall and staring right down. As I stared into his hazelnut eyes all my worries and plans for revenge vanished into thin air.

My thoughts were interrupted when he cleared his throat. My eyes were drawn to his chest that had a badge on it. Urrgh it was that geek from science class. The badge read:Hall monitor-Jake Hughes.
