I see your face in the mirror as I pass by
But I walk, persisting and persist
Because if I let myself linger too long
Then I am forced to know that you exist
I made the mistake of staying
For just one second too many
By god I just wished I kept going
The face that looked back wasn't worth a penny.
Leave no photo. Leave no trace.
They can't miss you if they forget your face.
Leave no memory. Leave no complaint.
They can't be angry if your presence is faint.
Leave no sadness. Leave no anger.
They will think of you as a stranger.
Leave no burden. Leave no hatred.
Your death will never be sacred.
Leave only fakeness. Leave only a smile.
No one will ever know you beyond your file.
Leave only faintness. Leave only a laugh.
No one will investigate the draft.
