Before I could make my way to Esther, I was pulled into a pair of strong arms. The smell of eucalyptus wafting into my nostrils. Kol.

"You have a lot to explain." He muttered as he led me into the dance, pulling me close and savoring the feeling of having his mate in his arms at last. I looked up to meet his childish glowing eyes, my brow raised in question. He grinned and leaned his face into my hair, inhaling my scent. "Not only are you after my mother, but I hear you are not a normal Hybrid like my annoying brother." I hummed at his words, a smile spreading across my face.

"Does that frighten you, Kol? A Tribrid in your home? Afraid I'll kill your mother?" I taunted at him. My dead heart was fluttering at being in his arms. Him showing me the affection I so desperately missed out on. But I had my priorities. Kill his mother, then either run away or try to fix this. I was leaning towards running until he had me in his warm arms. His fingers rubbing circles into my side.

"No, that doesn't scare me. If she hurt you, I'll be more than willing to help rip her heart out and we can roll around in her blood after." He grinned at the image of us not just rolling in his mothers blood. I'm sure his mind was elsewhere. More rated mature than his rated G goofiness.

"Then what are you afraid of, darlin'?" I asked, snapping him out of his thoughts. The little endearment that unwillingly left my lips making him grin wider, before it dropped.

"I heard you talking to Damon. You plan to leave afterwards." He stated. I hummed in agreement.

"That is the plan. Kill the bitch and find a new life. Maybe see if I can find anything on my past. Maybe family." I explained. His facial expression dropped more, his eyes held fear that made me nearly feel bad for him.

"You can't leave. Aren't we your family?" He asked, it nearly felt like being stabbed in the heart.

"I suppose. But I don't know you. Just like you don't know me." I told him. Kol leaned his forehead on mine, trying to keep my attention on him.

"At least give me the chance to know you." He whispered. With that, he pressed a small kiss to my cheek and spun me out of his arms, landing me into another set of strong arms. The smell of fresh laundry smacking me in the face. Elijah. Pulling me close, we danced.

"I was so close to knowing you. Several times in the past. How that would have changed who we are now." He spoke softly into my ear. I pulled away from him to give him a questioning look. "I met your father, Tyre, several times. He was a friend of mothers." He explained. A snarl left my lips as soon as the words left his lips.

"She was not a friend of my fathers. She used him to get to his best friend." Elijah's eyes widen.

"Niklaus's father." He clarified. I nodded.

"He was in my father's pack. My brother and I called him uncle." I let a soundless giggle out. "Who would have thought one of his children would be one of my mates." Elijah let out a chuckle at this.

"He had other children?" He questioned. I nodded with a hum.

"Three. NiKlaus was the oldest. Then there was Charlotte and Evelyn. They were twins and just four years younger than NiKlaus." Elijah stared at me with shock. I suppose NiKlaus never knew he had sisters. Mother despised Esther and I always listened to her gossip to her friends about her often.

"Would that make your mother an Elf?" He asked, his warm eyes meeting my green ones. I nodded.

"She was half Elf. Half Witch." This made Elijah's eyes grow. I laughed. "Don't worry. I didn't inherit the witchy genes. Although, that would have been something. Ricky, my brother had the witch genes. He was more witch than anything else." I told him. His eyes held sympathy for my losses. I knew he felt bad that his mother had taken away my life. But I could also tell he was happy she did. Otherwise I wouldn't be here in his arms now.

"Why did Mother take this from you?" He questioned. He was sincerely confused why his mother would mess with such an innocent woman.

"From my understanding, she wanted to link herself to me so she could live. She knows you and your brothers would never kill your soulmate to kill her. Ergo, I was the perfect solution." I told him. I had read up on some legends I found when I was looking for some sign of where Esther had gone. Learning of her reasoning to turn me into this-this creature pissed me off even more.

"Wait-" Elijah started before I threw myself out of his arms and into my final suitor for the night. The smell of freshly cut wood hitting me with the breeze. I glanced up to meet a new set of eyes, ones I hadn't met yet, but have seen.

"Hello there." I smiled, his eyes hard on me.

"You plan on killing yourself." He stated, not a single bit of hesitation.

"It's nice to meet you, my names Hilda, but you can call me Hilary. More modern." I spoke with such sass in my tone, I would have been smacked in my time for it. But this man just stared at me. I rolled my eyes. "Like you weren't going to? I know the potion in tonight's champagne was with your help. What was your plan? Help Mommy-dearest with linking you to your siblings and committing suicide? Doesn't sound that different than my plan." I taunted him. His eyes narrowed at me.

"I didn't know about you. That was different." He tried to justify his past decisions. But I knew better.

"Not very. You were perfectly peachy with killing your family. I just want my revenge for her taking mine from me." I growled, my eyes flashing yellow. He relaxed a bit, realizing I was doing it for a good reason. But he felt hurt that I was so willing to leave him after he had just found me.

"I won't let you." He muttered, pulling me into him. I shook my head.

"I'm not worried." I told him in retaliation. I knew none of my mates would allow me to do this. But I wasn't worried about them getting in my way. I was stronger than them. "Nightly-night." I whispered into his ear, which made him pull away from me, confused. A burst of what looked to be gold fairy dust like substance came out of me and spread around in the air. Everyone in the room falling to the floor, a short slumber taking over. I laid my mate down gently, a softness I hadn't seen from myself since my brother. Glancing around, I made my leave.
