Chapter 15: back to work

Scarlette POV
Here I am again waking up by the toilet. This time I have a pregnancy test in my hand. It's been 2 weeks since I left Alexander there in Italy.

I know he's keeping tract of where I'm staying because Diana keeps texting me and I told her that I'm fine. Of course Diana decided to stay in Italy.

I've been keeping my wolf inside and then some days she wants to get out so badly and look for Alexander that I have to drive to the beach at night to let her out of me.

Diana keeps begging to come back saying that Alex is depressed and not ruling his pack right anymore without me. A pack without a Luna is nothing, in her words. I don't want to be Luna anymore.

I just want to be in my normal life again. I finally turned off my location from Diana and stopped replying to her messages yesterday.

Sadly I can't have a normal life because I'm looking down at this pregnancy test and it's positive. I can't tell Alexander about this baby. His baby. Our baby.

I just have to put my lab coat and head back to work. 

I'm getting out of my car to go into the clinic when I see Andrew come out,"hey there you got the labs on the head sickness patient?"

I nod at him,"yeah he definitely was in rough shape."

Alexander chuckles,"hey I have some extra lab work tonight with your dad too want to stay after hours and work on it?"

Ugh extra work. I'm pretty sure this werewolf baby I have growing inside me is growing super fast and I haven't been feeling good.

"I think I'll pass on that tonight I have so much work I need to do and fill out. Thanks though"

I suddenly feel a huge kick to my stomach,"ahh!" I grab onto Andrew.

"Are you okay there?" Andrew questions me.

I cringe trying to hide that I have a living dog baby in my stomach. This sounds like a horror movie. I have no idea what is going on and have no werewolf doctor like before!

Right when I say that I look up, there is Davina. The pack doctor. Why is she working here? Is she spying on me?

My stomach spazzes again and quickly feel faint.

I can see Andrew s face turn to angry for some reason,"okay this isn't looking good. I think our new employee should check you out, this is Davina."

"Oh hey girl!" Davina runs up to hug me.

Andrew looks suspicious," you two met before?"

I try to cover up the whole werewolf encounter,"yeah we met at a nicu convention."

I see Davina try not to smile and then agrees with me.  "Come with me I'll check you out in my new office."

I love her decorations in her office. So modern and beautiful, everything about her is beautiful. "You have such a cute office" I tell her.

Davina grins," thanks I tried to make it cool. After checking you out I think you might have a werewolf pup growing inside you, you look around 3 weeks since the werewolf baby lifespan is faster than a humans especially an Alpha or Luna." 

I cringe,"yeah I'm trying to hide that I'm pregnant so can you not tell anyone? I kind've ran away from Alexander."

Davina laughs," I know you ran away everyone knows. You're with the worlds most important alpha. But you have to know, he doesn't kill people, he just takes money from businesses and helps to donate to help people too."

No way. I thought he was a cold blooded killer. I completely misjudged him. I have to go back. I feel horrible now.

I gasp," there is no way I left and said so many rude things about him. I was the bad one. I have to leave I have to tell him that I'm sorry."

Just as I'm about to get up my father and Andrew walk in the room shouting,"now that we know you're pregnant with Alexander's baby, you're not going anywhere."

My father grabs a gun and shoots, but it fails to hit me when Davina steps in front of me and takes the bullet for me.
"No!" I scream. I yell.

Davina looks at me with sorry eyes,"run. Run and don't stop. I'm your sister I never got to tell you. I love you. I'm sorry we never got to have a happy ending together, I want you to tell your child I love them too. Alexander told me he loves you, I know he does with all his heart, hold on to his love and don't ever let him go."

Tears rush down my face. I had a sister the whole time. A family. A real family that loves me. Now she's gone. How could this happen. I run and run and run. I quickly run into a restaurant where I know they can't enter without exposing everyone. I text the phone number I wanted to forget but I now know is my home.

I see the message send
Me: alex I need your help. My father and Andrew killed Davina she was actually my sister. They're after me. You have to find me. ~scar

Alexander:where are you I'm coming to get you those stupid fuckers, if I get my hands on them I'll kill them.

Me: if I don't make it just know our baby and I love you.
...
No service found

I run out of the restaurant I guess there is no service. The next thing I know, I see black.
