Everybody steps away and I'm just frozen. Tears rush down my face and I hug Elizabeth's lifeless body, trying to avoid looking at her face. I remember every moment ever spent with her, all the way since kindergarten. Time will never be able to fade the memories of you.

Michael suddenly pulls the knife out of Elizabeth's forehead and her blood drips all over me, but I don't pull away. He was about to stab me, but somebody stops him. Wilhemina grasps the knife out of his hand and slashes his neck open. I look up at her, her dress was covered in blood. Everybody was shocked. The room fell in silence until Langdon started clapping;

-"How romantic! Aw..."

-Willow complains;-"This is funny to you? An innocent girl was just killed."

-"It's not funny, whatsoever, it's an example of what will happen if we don't leave for The Sanctuary soon enough. Changed your mind about taking the test yet, Ms. Venable?"

-"No, I didn't change my mind."-Wilhemina replies and I look at her like I could beat her in that very moment. She whispers to me;

-"Don't you give me that look, (y/n). I was very clear about my decision."

-"Hm, okay then! Gallant? Come with me."-Langdon says carelessly.

Gallant leaves together with Langdon. Other purples and grays start talking in between themselves until Ms. Venable hits her cane across the ground;

-"Mallory, Willow, please take care of this mess. Excuse me and Ms. (y/l/n). We have to go change."-Mallory and Willow nod hesitantly in response.

In between Mallory and Willow;

They both get a sponge before Willow brings a bucket filled with bleach and two pairs of rubber gloves. One other gray takes away Elizabeth's body.

They start scrubbing the wooden floor;

-"Mal, how did he get inside?"

-"I don't know... I wouldn't be surprised if Langdon let him in."

-"Right...!? Langdon acts so weirdly childish."

-"Be quiet for once and do your job... Your murmuring is so annoying."-Ms. Mead tells them and Willow rolls her eyes.

Wilhemina and I sit next to one another and I still avoid talking because I'm mad at her. Gallant runs into the room all happy;

-"I passed! I got in!"

-Ms. Venable looks at him and scoffs quietly;-"Great pick... A cowardly homosexual."

-I laugh a little and she looks at me and hits me slightly with her elbow before a smile spreads over her face as well. We snap back to reality realizing we are in a room full of people. Luckily nobody noticed.

We sat there for a little while but eventually both got tired. Wilhemina pulls on my dress, trying to indicate for me to leave together with her. I hesitate, acting I don't get what she's trying to tell me but I then give in.

We were walking through the empty hallways and she breaks away the silence;

-"You know, I saved your life there."

-"Well, thank you for protecting me."-I say before placing a soft kiss on her cheek. Wilhemina tries to fight her smile but then gives up;

-"You are too cute, Mina. But that doesn't mean your decision was smart."

-"It was for the best. I could never leave you again."-she says and I exhale while looking at the floor. Wilhemina gave up her own life for me.

On the other side of my mind was the scene I wanted to forever remove from my head. I tried to push it back, because I couldn't even believe Elizabeth was dead, no matter of how I saw everything happening. I didn't want to admit it to myself.

In Wilhemina's room;

We awkwardly sat on her bed. Neither of us felt comfortable enough to do or say anything. Then I suddenly felt Wilhemina's hand on mine;

-"(Y/n)... Um, my life will end, and so will yours, so, just kiss me anytime."
